According to Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com, it looks like 49ers offensive lineman Mike Iupati suffered a fractured ankle and linebacker Navorro Bowman tore his ACL. Mike Iupati sustained fractured ankle, Jim Harbaugh said.

Gruesome injuries for two elite players. Timetable to return TBD.

Fits in with the last 3 years and not catching a break. Ginn getting hurt in 2011 probably cost us a SB or at least an apperance, then 2012 Manningham and others left us with thin at WR for the playoffs/SB, this year plagued with a ton of injuries all year long.

The Bowman injury was awful. I don't know why, but I felt sick to my stomach after seeing that. (I didn't feel that way after seeing Lattimore's injury or that Louisville basketball player's injury).

Feel bad for those 2 players. Hope for a full recovery for them to be able to resume their careers with nothing lost (talent/ability wise) going forward.

Really goes to show how a season/career can change on 1 play. Makes one realize that these players really need to get their $$ when they can as much as they can. Tomorrow is not guaranteed to anyone of them or us.

This is the third consecutive year that an elite NFL player has suffered an ACL injury in a playoff/final game loss. (2011: Adrian Peterson, 2012 RG3, 2013: NaVarro Bowman).

It's a bummer that they got hurt, but it's part of the risk that comes with playing in the NFL. I wish them both quick recoveries.

I don't know why they showed it like 5 times in slow motion. It was pretty stomach churning

I'm aware Very Happy

Maybe the better word was "high-profile"

Bowman's injury looked a lot worse than a torn ACL. I'm thinking this is good news in comparison to how it looked.
