It's Coming!!!

That's right, it's about time for FFMD to start back up again and after a successful run last year it's time to top that this year.

There's been an influx of new posters this past year, and it's time to get them involved with the old balls. For those who are not familiar with FFMD, this is a forum wide mock draft where you (as a collective group) get to act like the GM of your favorite team. In a week or so, you'll be able to sign up to be the official GM of your team. If you are chosen, you can set up your staff including assistant GM and capologist.

For the newbies, check our last year's FFMD in the GM Mock Draft forum.

FFMD is an awesome experience that has you interacting with the other 31 teams in the NFL and several agents representing players in free agency. The draft portion is just as exciting as each team gets in their "war room" and once they are on the clock they come together with a decision.

Remember, we put this on as a fun thing so make sure everyone gets involved, and don't take this too seriously.

But unlike in the past, we're asking for a non-mods to help run this. We'll announce more when we post sign ups, so be on the look out for it.

I'm not gonna throw my hat in the GMing ring this year due to school, however I will happily serve on our GM's staff, whoever that may be

I would be very interested in learning more about what this process entails. I've read over last year's and it seems really fun.

i'll caution anyone who gets in to it that the first and foremost intention is to stimulate FUN for those involved. guys who take it uber seriously and try to "win" do just the opposite.

we've had members in the past cheat, break the rules, get in to fights, insult webby and the mods, and then quit in a huff, abandoning their teammates.

so yeah, don't do it unless you understand why we sponsor it.

J, you'll love this thing, and you'll be great given your commitment and skill when scouting

It is good/fun.
They started doing rankings as well in the 2nd one last year when I was Co-GM (which they'll likely continue again in this one)
STL was 1st & MIN was 2nd, I think PHI was 3rd.

Lets move up another spot this year.

i want to make it clear with this statement that FF has had members of other team forums do this, not in the MINN forum.

yes, that is a prime component. full FA with contract bidding, etc.

every team has a "capologist" that manages the roster/cap in a spreadsheet.
