The Panthers are on the cusp of big things. Building through the draft is great but sometimes you have to make BOLD FA moves.

History has shown the NFL cap can be worked around.

The cap is never the issue. If an owner wants a player(s) he can make it happen if he is willing to spend.

The real issue is cash flow, profitability VS the desire to win.

After last season the 9ers didn't hesitate to bring in A. Bolden. In hindsight without him they probaby don't win in Charlotte last week.

The Panthers needs probably can't be addressed from low 1st, 2nd, 3rd rounders. Even though anything is possible in today's NFL.

Oline, CB, and WR need upgrades badly. RB is nothing to bag about either.

Cam has shown the ability to make marginal WRs viable players.
LaFell is a bum.
Ginn actually has talent with holes in his game.
SSmith is a has been. He has heart and he's not done, but you'll probably never use seperation and SSmith in the same sentence again.

If the Panthers bring in a real #1 or even a borderline #1 (like Nicks) SSmith and Ginn can thrive as 2 and 3.

But the Panthers really need 2 real receivers ...

Is Richardson willing to pay for a title?

we're going to need more than that!

But I really want us to win, JR deserves it man. I want that man to lift a Lombardi before his time is up.

1. Resign Ginn and let lafell walk

2.Sign Decker or Nicks (still not sure which one I prefer)

3.Draft Kelvin Benjamin. This draft is stacked with recievers it seems and I think he will still be there at 28.

I still don't know where I stand on Kelvin Benjamin. But assuming he does pan out, Decker/Benjamin on the outside (albeit even if Benjamin pans out, I don't expect immediate success for him) with Smith in the slot would be lovely. Unfortunately I don't see how we afford to bring in Decker. Has had 2 straight 1,000 yard and 10+ touchdown seasons. He's going to make bank.

He also had Peyton Manning so that could drive down the Price a bit. A Decker, Benjamin, Ginn, and Slot Smith sounds like a huge upgrade. Man our WR core is bad. Laughing

We gotta go FA and spend either a first or second on a wideout/receiving TE. Cam needs weapons and its obvious
