How about Jacoby Jones? And he could play some WR for us.

neither offer anything as a wr. id rather have ginn if thats what we wanted and we let him walk.
no reason to pay a guy who is just a returner. you can draft one and pay them a fraction of that. AND they could potentially add something to the offense or defense which is a plus
but i do think we need to grab a return man

Maybe, but Jones is a solid deep threat. Looked great for a few plays in the 2013 playoffs Laughing. I just want speed on the outside though. Can someone like Moncrief become a return man for us?

La Canfora is amazing in his terribleness as a reporter. I asked him about his November report about Brown on Twitter, and he responded by telling me it did happen in the 300k boost Brown got in JANUARY and proceeded to call me a "jackhole".

I think Maiocco even understands that he is a joke of a reporter, and that is why he keeps refuting his reports whenever they come out.

The Indianapolis Star reports the Colts and free agent CB Vontae Davis aren't close to a deal.
"No deal is imminent, and the sides are relatively far apart in negotiations," writes Stephen Holder. The Colts have roughly 12 hours before Davis' agent can legally begin negotiating with the other 31 teams. At this point, Davis may as well test the open market and see what's out there. The Colts badly want to re-sign Davis but seem unwilling to commit the top dollars he wants right now.

Wonder if he'll take a paycut to come play with his big brother?

He should take a cheap one year deal, have a shot at a championship, and maybe turn his performance into a long term deal with us.

I would love to get Tillman but as a safety

Quote:
ESPN's Adam Caplan reported on NFL Insiders that "teams are doing search" on free agent CB Charles Tillman's ability to play safety.
Caplan didn't say whether Tillman would be open to the position conversion, at which he's publicly balked in the past. Tillman has always been an excellent ball stripper and tackler. In theory, he'd be a natural fit for safety.

Not every CB makes a smooth transition to safety, I'd rather re-sign Whitner.

Now, Lance Moore is kind of intriguing. A deep threat that we may be able to get cheap.

Yeah, but WR to S conversions are even less smooth... I don't know what you're thinking, there.

FA wishlist

Re-sign: Whitner, Dawson

Sign: Blake Costanzo, Shaun Hill, Trindon Holliday (competition for returner), Lance Moore (deep threat competition) and a CB that falls through the cracks in the open market...Antonio Cromartie maybe?

Wanted Lance in SF years ago... still would smile about it, if it happened on a cheaper deal. With our old/older vet starters in Crabtree/Boldin, I suspect we would rather go young draftee... but who knows? Smile

Not sure you can do all that with 10 mil in cap space.

I thought we had more? I guess i accounted for Carlos Rogers being cut.

Also, anyone here have interest in Darren Sproles? He's what we want LMJ to be, although no guarantee LMJ reaches that status.
