do not understand why we'd want Jim Cordle back. he wasn't good before he tore up his knee in December so he'll be on IR anyway.

Sign Thomas. He will be able to train and have a full offseason to get back to his old self. He won't have to worry about his knee as much. Before injury, he was pretty close to a pro bowler. If he can get back to 75% of that... He's easily the second best corner on our roster.. And he can play safety if Rolle becomes a cap casualty.

the only problem is its gonna be hard for him to go back to his old self after wat 3 ACL surgeries?

Is Thomas Davis Terrel Thomas? no im not saying he wont, i wouldnt be suprised if one day he will be able to be a solid CB2 but the question is as a CB how are you gonna get back to be your dominant self after 3 ACL injuries against the fast players like Djax Dez Calvin etc

we don't need him to be a dominant corner. hell basically everybody thought his career was over and he came back this year and played better than any single one of us would have expected. and with the uncertainty that perpetually surrounds will hill and stevie brown coming off his own ACL (and a FA), it would be nice to have Thomas as a some safety insurance.

It'd be great if he could double as safety depth too...due to Will Hill and all...

Short yardage, goal line, and depth
