Quote:
Improvements include: improved entry gateways; ribbon video boards to feature game information and statistics, other NFL scores and stats, crowd prompts and sponsored elements; a new sound system; and two new large video boards for live video coverage, replays, game information and stats, among other uses.

Renovations will begin in two weeks -- after a potential NFC Championship game could be played in Charlotte. This is the first phase of a three-phase plan the team will deploy over the course of the next three offseasons.

Good move. The sound system at the stadium is pretty bad right now, as it the endzone videos.

The added entry for the club level will be a very nice feture as it will allow for quicker entry to those seats.

One day I hope to visit.

Does anyone know if BOA is contributing to the upgrades? They should.

I dont like it. But its the reality we live with. So, with that in mind, I am just glad it's not something terrible like Slim Jim Stadium or Dollar General Field or something like that. It could be worse is all I am saying.

If I could choose a name for the field I would go with JR Field or Richardson Stadium or something like that. JR has earned that kind of legacy imo. The guy worked his butt off to get a team here and has been a great owner.

every stadium has a sponsorship name, without them we dont have a stadium. its just the way it works. Unless you name it after someone famous in the franchise (which we dont have), then you gotta live with the sponsorship, which i dont mind.

I wouldn't mind naming the field Jerry Richarson Field in honor of everything Jerry has done.

I feel something along the lines of the jungle would be appropriate.

Richardson Field is the name of the Charlotte 49ers' stadium iirc. Just dedicated it to him last year.
