Who are those free agents that will be on the market this off season that you would like the Jags to try to acquire?

I think we have a thread for this, but its a draft/FA thread and this should have its own. One of my favorites is Alex Mack

I personally wouldn't mind Alterraun Verner weaken a division foe get a young descent corner that we can mold he plays physical bump and run like Bradley likes I think Bradley coaching him he could be one of the top 5 corners in the league.

In terms of marquee guys, I think Mack is a legitimate option. I think we'll be major players for him. Every other target, I imagine, will be of the same tune as last year unless Caldwell eyes some her interior lineman should he miss out on Mack.

I certainly wouldn't want to rely on McFadden as the only real 'go-to' RB at this point, given his propensity to turn up injured constantly. But i don't really see anything wrong with the idea of taking a flyer on him to complement a draft pick or whatever else we end up having on board.

He is pretty talented when he's healthy, and it's not as though MJD has been particularly reliable or durable the last couple years either, so it wouldn't be all that different than what we've had. As long as we manage to find ourselves a nice draft pick to back him up i'd be okay with McFadden at the right price. I think the sort of system we're running now might actually be a nice fit for him too, and if healthy, he fits that 'dynamic' and 'explosive' mold Dave and Gus want from our players.

Alex Mack would be one of my top targets. He's going to command a huge pricetag for a Center, but we've got lots of cap space. Wink As long as it doesn't get to ridiculous. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see him command Levitre type money. Also, I can't help but wonder, if he leaves Cleveland, it may be because he wants to play on a real competitor in his prime though...which much rule us out.

Would be great to anchor our O-Line with a solid vet like that though if possible.

Anyone have any Guard FAs that are playing poorly because they're in the wrong scheme? Someone who if put in a new scheme, one like ours, could really excel? I think we'll target one of those, and hope for similar results as with Marks.

I've always been a fan of Orakpo, more coming out of Texas than now though. I do think he's a better fit as an end than a linebacker but his injury history and limited recent production just scream 'free agent bust'. I do think he has the biggest upside of the free agents available though.

Obviously Mack would be a great fit for any team in need of a center.

I can't help but expect him to produce more in that Cincy defense though. He wouldn't have as many opportunities to make plays here as compared to Cincy - at least not right away. I think he needs a heavy incentive-based deal, which I don't think will be the case.

If Dave comes out of free agency with Mack, a backup quarterback who could start early on of need-be and a potential starting guard, I'd be thrilled. I'm sure he'll sign a handful of role players, but they're inconsequential as far as my free agency excitement is concerned.

That's asking a lot. I smell what you're cooking though.

You had me right there. Dave has no choice but to spend a good amt of the money we have because of the cap floor and there arent really any big names we need to re-sign. We will extend some guys im sure but we should still have alot to spend
