I was thinking we could have some kind of awards for the posters in this forum. We would all vote for them here and that person could put it in their Sig or something.

Awards can be like MVP (most valuable poster), Best organizer of events, pick 'em champ, fantasy champ, etc. We could also have some good natured fun ones like most nostalgic, biggest bear homer, the knee jerker award, etc.

What are your thoughts? Does anyone have any other ideas? With quiet time approaching soon I'd like to do something to keep this board active.

Award winners:

Walter Payton Award (Bears Forum MVP)

Cliff Stein Award (Salary Cap Master)
WiscBearsFan

Mike Mayock Award (College Scouting Master)
MadMike90

Ed Sabol Award (Film Breakdown Artist)

Adam Schefter Award (Breaking news)

I think it's a good idea. A bunch of the other team forums do them.

Agreed, this is actually something I've been thinking about lately (speaking of, I need to do another interview...).

Let's have posters brainstorm ideas in this thread and then we can have a nominations and a vote in the next few weeks.

I did get a chuckle out of the vote options, but then again, I'm immature.

Remember when voting for Mod of the Year that none of the warnings I have anyone were personal. Also, CBears doesn't like ANY of you! Cool Cool

We should give the awards names. For example:

Cap master = Cliff Stein award
Mod of the year = Rodger Goodell award
Breaking news = Schefter award
etc.

Also:

Funniest poster
Most underrated poster
Rookie of the forum

...can't think of any others right now, but I'll keep thinking. We've already got a ton listed, so we should probably be good with just that.

How do people want to do nominations?

Should everyone who gets nominated be on the ballot? Should there be a set number of people per ballot? What are people thinking?

Also, would someone be able to make sigs for all the awards that we ultimately decide on?
