If somebody could explain to me more about O'Brien and also why this thread isn't about Kenney that'd be great.

Veteran coordinators too.

Good hire. I was skeptical at first since BB's coordinators dont usually work out, and he was 3rd on my coaching list, but I can get behind it. Glad we got the process out the way early before other teams had a chance to interview him. I know Titan fans wanted him as HC bad. Laughing

Excited to see who we bring in to run the defense. Horton, Norton Jr., Tomsula are my top 3 guys.

O'Brien is going to get a 5 year deal. I have heard different days, but does any one know what day the press conference is?

One person on the staff has been announced. Stan Hixon is joining O'Brien. He was Penn St.'s WR coach and assistant coach. Before that he was the Bills WR coach and Redskins WR coach.

Penn Stater here; you guys are getting a fabulous coach. CAS22's brief description is spot on, and I think he embodies the perfect line between "player's coach" and "disciplinarian" - he'll always go to bat for his players, but he's going to hold the team accountable.

Obviously this season has been tough for you guys, but landing O'Brien with the roster you already have AND the number 1 pick is going to be golden for your franchise. As you all know, this guy is a guru with his QBs, and while this draft may lack an "elite" QB prospect, you have to sleep well at night knowing that Bill O'Brien will be developing your young signal caller into an franchise caliber player.

Keep an eye out on Blake Bortles tonight; he's built like a Bill O'Brien passer and if he's strong throughout the pre-draft process, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if the Texans elected to take him over Teddy Bridgewater.

Me too. I was impressed with him when we played him this season and he is getting way overhyped. Hopefully O'Brien dont fall in love with him after UCF beat Penn St. this season.

One of O'Brien's early mentors was George O'Leary.

Care to guess who the current UCF head coach is?

Do you all really think that many QBs will go in the first round of the draft? I wouldn't hate them trading out of the #1 and taking a QB at #33 or something. O'Brien will want his pick of player though and the Texans haven't traded out of the #1, they will want to reach a deal with whoever they pick before the draft too.

We need to draft QB at #1. We have out LT and we have one of the best defensive linemen in football. QB is the only option at 1, whoever they decide is the number 1 QB
