I've learned the #Jets have serious interest in Bengals restricted free agent WR Andrew Hawkins, per source.
Wow. I am mocking right now and I have us matching his original tender aka nada.

Can definitely see it happening for special teams reasons. He's a really good gunner, and I expect the Jets to make improving the secondary a priority

When Hawkins was healthy a couple seasons ago he was pretty affective. Very similar to Dexter McClusters playing style. Just try to get the ball in his hands whether it's in the return game, WR or RB. I'd live to bring him in.

He'd be a good depth receiver too and having a few solid guys at the back end like Nelson and Hawkins could be huge for us considering we've had no WR depth the past few year

Does anyone know when the pre-free agency negotiations period starts? Monday?

Saturday. Free Agency "officially" starts Tuesday, but all the juicy rumors/negotiations will begin to trickle out this weekend

Reports today say the saints are open to trade some of there playmakers on offense. Obviously Jimmy Graham is there best weapon but we know he will cost 2 1st rounders so no to that, but what about Sproles for a 6th rounder. Change of pace back that is fast, quick and a good return man.

I'd give up a 6th for him but I highly doubt the Saints would accept that. I'd have to think they would want at least what they got for Ivory.

I think he could be had for very very cheap. He'll be 31 at the start if next season and was injured last season.

I am not as interested in Emmanual Sanders. I think he is a #3 WR on a good team.

My top free agent fits for the Jets are :

1. Hakeem Nicks
2. Eric Decker
3. Golden Tate
4. Andre Roberts
5. Danario Alexander

I know. He'll be a stash investment for 2015.

I disagree, I think he's a #2 just like everyone you listed (except for Roberts who I think is a slot receiver). Nicks is the only one who can be a #1, but I don't think he will be anywhere; don't think the heart/head is there for the game anymore.

All the free agent Wide Receivers are duds. They are all so overrated and the fact that people want to pay them as much as they are demanding is just crazy to me.

If you all are INTELLIGENT, you wait until next year to lock up a big name wide receiver. Get a couple interim guys on prove it deals to make the fans happy. Maybe Nicks comes on a 1 year deal. But other than that, next year is where you break the bank. This year, we draft one and find an interim solution. None of these guys are going to be futures of the franchise... NONE
