I seen it on KFFL last night and was hoping Indystar.com would mention it this morning but they haven't yet, however the Colts reported last night that their 1 year $2.096 million tender to Mathis is officially been signed and he'll not be negotiating with other teams
hopefully have a link later this evening when I get home from work, unless someone else happens across it first. |

That sounds now they can work on signing him long term for during the season.. _________________ SF 5-0 in the superbowl... Larry Allen, Antonio Bryant

| yeah but it is kind of interesting, thinking about what would have been had somone offered him more and he signed, they would have had to give their first and third round picks to the Colts!! I love mathis and what he does but MAN and 1st and 3rd??? i dont know which one i would prefer. |

| the reason that Mathis signed the deal was because no one offered him a contract while he was a restricted free agent. |

Well aware, thats actually my point... no one would give up the 1st and 3rd. Im sure the Colts would not have minded the compensation and extra money towards the cap and signing draft picks. |

gotcha, I misread your post, yeah that would have been nice especially since 29 teams have higher picks in the first |
