As it stands now, we can possibly face the following teams in Charlotte for the divisional round:

SF: They must win and NO beats (PHI/DAL)
GB: They must win and SF beats GB
(PHI/DAL): Win against NO

I'm going out on a limb and going to say the Eagles win tonight, but will consider Dallas just because the game hasn't been played yet. The only time we could possibly see NO is in the NFC Championship game.

Who do you want? Who do you want to avoid?

I think that I'm most comfortable against the NFC East champion. GB would be second and the Niners are who I'd want to avoid.

We have two weeks to discuss this Very Happy .

Umm...San Fran plays Green Bay...not New Orleans.

I want the team with the worst OL...probably Green Bay...but Rodgers is somewhat worrying with all of his receivers healthy.

Eagles are fast. Our secondary isn't exactly built to deal with that.

Packers scare me solely because of Rodgers. That's really it...

49ers are basically us, except Cam is better than Kaep.

Probably 49ers > Eagles > Packers.

I don't feel sorry that SF will have to make two east coast trips to face our team...

With how stagnant our offense has been in recent weeks--despite it's seeming "clutchness"--I do not want to play a team with a great defense, so I absolutely don't want to run into San Fran.

I think that our offense doing jack-squat would put more pressure on our defense over the course of a game than an opposing team's high-flying offense would. I trust our defense to at least limit any team we come up against.

So that being said, I view the Eagles (I expect them to beat Dallas, and if Dallas does make the playoffs, I wouldn't expect them to beat the Saints) and Packers as equals. As crazy efficient as Chip Kelly's offense is, I fear Rodgers a bit more. But the Eagles defense is better than the Pack. A wash in my mind.

I wish SF was #6, I would have loved to host NO again.
I'd prefer to play the Cowboys/Packers than the Eagles.
Please no Niners.

Philadelphia seems like they would match up with our defense very well as they are built on speed and not turning the ball over.

But Greenbay has Aaron Rodgers.

I think we can all agree that we want to play the Cowboys.

Unfortunately that's the least likely thing to happen.

Looking at these potential matchups reminds me how awesome the NFC is.

I don't think playing Green Bay is as scary as everyone is saying.

Yes they have Aaron Rodgers, however he was scared to run vs Chicago. I think he only took off once and he is now sliding very early.

I think we would get enough pressure on him to rattle his cage and remind him of his injury.

Their defense is awful. Legit terrible. I think our offense might actually succeed against them.

But I want the Cowboys. If not them, then Philly if not them then Green Bay.

Fixed. That's for pointing that out.

I want Philly. We can beat them at the Bank.
I don't want Rodgers, but I would prefer him than having to face the 49ers.

1. Eagles
2. Packers
3. 49ers

1)Eagles (best match up out of the three)
2) Packers (dreadful defense, but still have Rodgers)
3) 49ers (would prefer not to see them again)

It really doesn't matter. The Panthers have to beat the best if they want to be the best. I know it's so cliche, but it's nothing but the truth. I remember in the summer when the schedules came out, Carolina had statistically most difficult schedule. Everyone said, "man, we gotta play...". Well my philosophy was they have to play us! This team fears no one. So I say bring the best to Charlotte in two weeks, whoever they may be.

I agree. Thought, I would love to play Philly and match up our D against their offense.
