Felt good to hold Robert Quinn back from the NFL sack leader. 2nd place is cool though.

Took the NFL awarding Mathis an extra sack for that.

2nd place is cool...interestingly enough, Seattle ended up in 2nd place in PR yards allowed...guess who ended up #1? The St. Louis Rams. And Johnny Hekker set the NFL record for net punting average in a season.(44.2) Laughing

Oh golly, not the punt return record Laughing Screw the playoffs, I wanted that special teams record Laughing

Good to see you understand the significance of this. It was really an easy choice for the Rams. Playoffs or record for net punting? Laughing

Between it all, only one thing be remembered forever in the record books....

...the amount of personal fouls the rams had Laughing

I don't think they quite matched the amount they had against Carolina...mainly because they had like 5 that were offset. Laughing
Speaking of offset penalties... In what world do 3 penalties offset 1?? Laughing

I don't like playing you guys week 17. It never ends well for the Rams.

Anyway, you guys could be tough to beat in the playoffs.

Hopefully next year we'll have our QB and LT healthy and there will be less referee interference and it will be more competitive.
Back in 04 or 03 you guys knocked us out of the playoffs in week 17. Of course if Bobby Engram had made the tough catch we would've been in Laughing

200 penalties could be offset by 1. If there's a penalty on each side, they always offset. At least, I'm 90% sure that's the case.

I'm more confident of beating teams like New Orleans or Green Bay since their defense's arent as good.. Don't have a whole lot of confidence in our offense coming up against the elite D's of the league like Carolina and San Fran. Although at home im confident we can beat anyone, just my preference of playing against the teams i first mentioned.

If that's the case, that's a terrible rule.

I may be wrong, but I think it goes by "the worst" penalty for each team. In this scenario, didn't both teams have personal fouls/unnecessary roughness infractions? If that's the case, the (2) lesser penalties by the Rams are negated and the (2) penalties that are the same (or at least, same punishment) offset.

At least, that's what I've gathered. I don't care too much for it either.

I'm rooting hard for the niners to make it to seattle. I want to knock them out of the playoffs almost as much as i want the superbowl. They got so lucky to avoid us last year

We finished the year as a defense:

-#1 In PPGA
-#1 in INTs
-#1 Yards Per Play allowed
-#1 In Total Yards (by almost 30 yards a game, which means the next closest team gave up almost 500 more total yards this year)
-#1 Passing Defense
-#1 In Yards per pass attempt by a full yard
-#1 In both 40+ pass plays (3) and 20+ pass plays (30)
-#1 in Passer Rating
-#2 in Passing TDs allowed
-Tied for 7th in Rush yards per game (3.9 yards a pop)
-Tied for 1st in Rushing TDs allowed
-Tied for 8th in Sacks @ 44
-Tied for 3rd in first downs per game
-10th in 3rd down percentage (which is a big improvement)

This will definitely go down in history books. One of the best defenses this league has seen since 2000

Truly amazing what a pass rush can do for a defense. What a great season.

This week I'm rooting for the Packers because I want SF out.

But I see us playing the Niners and the Eagles playing the Panthers.
