My 1st mock draft- all these draft grades came from CBS sports and used Over the Cap for salary info.

Beginning cap = 5.78M

Cut
Rice saving 7.3M
Farwell saving 1.4M
Ware saving 519k

Restructure
Miller from 7M to 4.5M (2.5M in savings)
Bryant from 8.5M to 4M (4.5M in savings)

Trade
Clemons to Jacksonville for 2014 4th (saving 7.5M)

Cap space ~31.8M

Resign
Hauschka 3y/7.5M
Avril 4y/40M (extension)
Bennett 3y/27M
McDonald 2y/4M
Johnson 1y/ 800k
Baldwin 1y/ 2M (2nd round tender)

Salary cap space= ~ 17.64M

Free agency

RT Jared Veldheer- Tom Cable hand picked him in 2010 when in Oakland. I think Oakland franchises him but if not he will be a hot commodity. He's a swing tackle that could back up Okung if he gets injured again. I think Seattle is very attractive to him. (5y/35M)- similar to the money Jake Long got last off season.

DE Jared Allen- again vikings west swoops up an ex viking. Pete loves pass rushers and Jared wants a ring. Also Jared loves to hunt and there are so many animals to kill 45 mins outside the city. (2y/7.5)

C Jeff Byers- I picked a FA Center that had connection with the team. Nothing crazy. (Vet Min)

2014 NFL draft

#1 Jordan Matthews WR Vanderbilt 6'3 205lbs
#2 James Hurst OT UNC 6'6 305lbs
#4 (via Jax) Stanley Jean-Baptiste CB Nebraska 6'2 220lbs

#6 Colt Lyerla TE Oregon 6'5 246lbs
#7 Andrew Norwell OG Ohio state 6'6 317lbs
#7 (comp) Shaq Evans WR UCLA 6'1 204lbs

Roster

QB- Wilson- Murray

FB- Coleman
WR- Harvin- Matthews- Baldwin- Kearse- Lockett- Evans
TE- Miller- Willson- Lyerla
LT- Okung- Hurst
LG- Carpenter-Bailey

When I was playing with the calculator mode on this site, I saw that our 2015 cap space was around 23M. I think this is a flat cap year and goes up 10M the year after. (2015)

I think Seattle will easily get both of these guys done under contract by the end of this off season.

Earl is set to make 5.1M on his last year of this contract. If we made him the highest paid S he's only going to earn another 3-4M per year.

Sherman's contract is going to scare me. He keeps comparing himself to Revis. Being the best lockdown CB in football. And while I agree with him. Spending 12-13M per year on his contract is x 24 what he's making now.

Going back over this and extending ET and Sherm this year. We end up only having ~5M in cap in 2015. Earls contract is 5y/40M and Sherm got 6y/60M
