Wow RT @BSL_Bryden: Jimmy Smith was aligned opposite Calvin Johnson for 47 of 61 snaps (77%). Smith was not beaten in man coverage all game.

That's clearly wrong. Whoever is giving him his information is just stupid. Smith was beat in coverage on that slant route for 7 yds and then again he gave up the one yard completion on that hitch route... Unless by "beat" he's using it in the sense of "giving up a big play"... Because those were clearly man coverages on those plays.

And I don't understand why he's giving Smith credit for plays he lines up on Megatron where the opposing team is running the football... Unless he's crediting him for his ability to challenge a runner... That has nothing to do with coverage.

Edit: And I don't want to sound like a hater here, just pointing out the flaws in his "stats". I mean Smith had a terrific day without having to inflate his impact by mentioning plays instead of coverage opportunities and by flat out lying. I mean 2 recs for 8 yds in man coverage is already an impressive enough feat that you don't have to say 0 recs in man coverage... Because that clearly wasn't the case. Just saying.

I think he's using it in terms of big plays. It's also why when I mentioned in the "upcoming stars" thread in NFL Gen, I said Smith lined up over him 77% of the time and then used your stat of 2 catches for 8 yards Wink

Lions DC Gunther Cunningham said today the Ravens should been penalized for a false start on the run play before the GW FG last week.

DB can you go back and analyze that play and possibly show a pic of it?

Interesting. I'm going to guess that it's Marshall Yanda's normal rock back that refs have never seemed to have a problem with (would be very much on film as well).

Also, I'm sure everyone here knew this by now, but Deandre Levy was NOT fined for his blatant low hit on Joe Flacco. However, Courtney Upshaw and Matt Elam were both fined for their penalties, Upshaw for unnecessary roughness, and Elam for his hit on Stafford when he was sliding.

I just call complete BS on NFL's "player safety" stance.
