According to an alert I just received from my phone, Adam Schefter is reporting that the Panthers believe J Stew has torn his MCL.

Good thing for D Will and Tolbert, but it sucks that Stewart just can't avoid the injury bug.

Terrible. I fear that that was the last play Stewart plays as a Panther. It's time for this team to move on to other offensive options.

Could agree more, keep DWill for a few more seasons and try to develop Barner, if not draft a young stud.

Yep, we need to move on on Stewart. We can't continue to let him hold a roster space when he's continually injured.

Let's have the DWill and Tolbert show for another year, while Barner fits in on limited plays.

Nuts. Looked bad when it happened, but I was hopeful since he popped up so quickly. Didn't look good when the trainer was manipulating his leg on the sidelines, though.

Armond Smith may be better than Barner at least right now.

Rivera said they would review Stewart in 10 days. Says could be week 17 before he's back.

I am a fan of cutting both Stewart and Williams in the offseason. Tolbert, and maybe Chris Johnson would be a nice duo.

There's no way CJ could run behind our line, one touch and he's down.

yeah, that's the last of stewie in carolina. RBs are fairly easy to find in late rounds and free agency. unknown guys blow up all the time. no reason to have this much money in the backfield while the o line, secondary, and wrs are average at best

Seriously. Do not want.

He'd be a bad off the field too. I don't see CJ (a cry baby ball hog) meshing to well with Steve Smith or any of the other Captains. He wouldn't even want to come. This offense is about spreading the ball around. Which isn't what he's about.

I believe we need to solve our Oline woes, or at least teach them useful run blocking schemes before we make moves on a RB

This sucks, I loved watching Stewart over the years. He was one of my favorite Panthers. Really hope he can overcome this and resurrect his career with another team. MCL tears aren't as bad as an ACL tear, so he should be relatively healthy in about 2 months.

Well, if this is true, why would you replace a wrong with another wrong?
