Has anyone heard anything on who the starting quarterback will be? I don't recall Frazier saying for sure that Cassell is starting. He has played pretty consistently when he has.

Personally I hope we give Freeman another shot.

I don't think anything concrete has been reported, but Christian Ponder did pass his concussion tests, finally.

Yeah, no official word on whom the QB will be, they normally wait until Wednesday, so we should find out today depending on which QB talks to the media.

It's really getting to the point where we need to see Freeman again, or have a report on what is going on. Is the guy mentally unstable and therefore unfit for duty? Maybe his right to privacy outweighs our right to know, but I kinda wanna know what's up.

If the plan is to not play Freeman, I would think mn would continue with Cassel. At this point he is a better qb than Ponder and Cassel very well could be starting for the Vikings next year if you think about it.

I don't know why but every week that Freeman doesn't get a mother chance I get more and more frustrated. It's nothing against Cassel, but I don't understand why he doesn't get another shot. Ponders gotten about 55 second chances, Cassel has gotten a couple. They throw Freeman into a situation he was not ready for and performed poorly and he isn't given another chance. I have nothing against Cassel, he has played fairly well. But this whole Josh Freeman situation is just frustrating

I think we see it and assume that he's doing okay in practice or many other things that aren't working or improving. For all we know, he's not picking things up, he hasn't improved his footwork, or many other things possible, so I would have more issue with them starting Ponder now than them not starting Freeman.

I thought we were already going to see that with Foles throwing against the Vikings?

Eagles lead the league in explosive plays from scrimmage -- passes or runs gaining 20 yards or more -- with 80 (64 pass, 16 rush).

Vikings are tied with GB for 4th in the league in explosive plays, with 59 (46 pass, 13 rush).

Ponder (26) and Cassel (18) have combined for 44 pass plays gaining 20+ yards, only 7 individual QBs have more than that. Foles has 36 in only 8 starts, 7 of them wins.

Peterson and McCoy are tied for 2nd in the league with 8 runs of 20+ yards so far. Frank Gore and Alfred Morris have 9 each. Last year, Peterson had 27 runs of 20+ yards, more than double CJ Spiller's 2nd place total of 12.
