Love the Deiitrich Smith signing. If were going zbs Zuttah is an excellent RG.

I really want Edleman. Even more than I'd want sanders.

Edelman would be great in the slot. I want him too.

The 49ers have hosted a few WRS already and remain very much in that market. SD, NE, CAR, TB been exploring WRs as well

Looks like we're still looking for some wideout help.

Quote:
Front office executives around the NFL are reportedly "fuming and crying foul" over Emmanuel Sanders' decision to sign with the Broncos.
It has nothing to do with the Broncos, but everything to do with Sanders and his agent. Sanders reportedly agreed to terms with the Chiefs earlier in the week before his agent took that offer to Tampa Bay and engaged in talks with the Bucs. The 49ers had a visit set up with Sanders before he and his agent blew it off. "This was one of the worst situations in modern football negotiations," one executive said. Another said Sanders' agent, Steve Weinberg, broke "every rule in negotiations."

Yeah, looks like he accepted deals wherever he went and then just picked one. What a prick (him or his agent, we don't really know.)

Nice depth signing. Since he's being reunited with his old offensive line coach im sure there was plenty of insight on him.

We also sogned Dane Fletcher today to a 1 yr deal

Under the radar guy I'd keep an eye on: WR James Jones. Still out there and we can probably plug a 2-3 year deal minimal money. Precise route runner that feeds off YAC. Could allow us to trade Williams and draft WR to develop and play the slot.

Dane Fletcher for 1 year, 2MM? WHAT? I'd expect something more of the 750K to 1 MM range. I think thats a bit much for a special teamer with an injury prone history.

Fletcher isn't a great special teamer, but he's a solid backup LB. He can play inside or out, has a little bit of blitzing ability and is decent dropping into coverage.

He left New England to pursue a chance to start, so I would think that Lovie Smith (et al) told him that he could compete for a starting job.

For that price that's what I was thinking as well.
