Let's be real; at this point we need to lose out. There's no benefit to finishing the season with "moral victories". All they do is trash our draft position. Right now, Jacksonville seems to be our biggest competition for Teddy Bridgewater. Lucky for us, they're riding a 2 game winning streak and riding high. Who are we to stop them from continuing that? This is a big week for the Texans; a loss puts them in a prime position to get the #1 overall pick in the draft and rights to Teddy Bridgewater. This team has plenty of other problems it needs to solve, but let's take this one game at a time. Losing to Jacksonville this week is step 1.

X-FACTOR: Gary Kubiak
His play-calling has been very up and down. It seems like for every great play he calls, there's a questionable one that follows it. For this game, we need him to use his typical, stubborn play-calling. Let's run that zone stretch play to death. We've got the ball in the red zone? Let's make sure we only come away with a field goal attempt (Fat Randy can handle the rest). Don't get ballsy, Kubiak. Play it safe and play it predictable.

KEYS TO LOSING
1) Timely penalties. 3rd and 5 on offense? Let's go ahead and get a false start and back that up an additional 5 yards. Defense is about ready to force a punt? Kareem, I'm going to need to you to not turn around for the ball and take out the receiver while the pass is in the air.

2) Put players in position to not make plays. Nothing helps you lose a game quicker than putting players in awkward positions. For example, Keenum is very aggressive and likes throwing down field. Because of that, nobody should run anything past 10 yards. Pretend it's hot lava. Defensively, let's play zone and rush 3 as our strength is in the secondary.

3) Terrible play on special teams. Field position plays a big factor in games, and Houston needs to do terribly if they have any hope of losing this one. Return kickoffs regardless how deep in the end zone are. Fair catches on punts (if we can force the Jags to punt). Let's also put Keo and 4.75 speed back there to return everything. Speed kills.

I did in the NFL general. Laughing

Jags have been playing well the last 2 games, but they havent won at home all season. I actually think we will win this game sadly.

Biggest game in franchise history. A loss almost assures we get Teddy

This one game can set the franchise back years. We have of lose this one

But I have a strong feeling we win this one big

Gameday! I really have a bad feeling that will win this in a blow out. Although I felt that way against the Rams and other teams, but here's to hope for a loss, for the good of the franchise.

Here's some irony for ya

Through 12 games Schaub and Keenum have the same number of starts

Schaub has more yards, higher completions % and equal TDs and a better record

The only thing Schaub was doing poorly was the 9 picks, and not making the fans happy

We should have rode with Schaub and we could be sitting with 5 or 6 wins still in the hunt

Because an 8 year vet beating a guy with 6 career starts is equal

Rolling Eyes smh

Do you know who was a 54% completion qb their rookie season?

Makes Case look pretty good IMO. I think we're being a little too hard on a 6th career start guy. He has some great tools and some things to improve on, but he definitely has the tools needed to be ABLE to succeed. Lets see if he puts it together.

I think I would prefer to have him win a couple guys, keep him as our qb and then draft a legit defensive player to help our squad.....

So far so good

All I want is a loss and a 200 yard game for Andre Johnson. Make it happen!
