@

Time/Venue: 2:25pm MST, Sunday 2nd December, Arrowhead stadium
Coverage: CBS

Match facts:

-Both teams are 9-2, and the winner will not only sit alone at the top of the AFC West, but will have the inside track for the #1 seed in the conference.

-Denver is ranked 2nd in offense this season, compared to Kansas City's 24th

-However the Broncos can only manage 22nd on D, whereas KC will currently rank the 10th best defense in the league.

-Denver is 2-14 all time at Arrowhead stadium in December

-The Broncos are going for their third straight win in Kansas City

-Broncos are 5-2 against the Chiefs this decade, 2-1 in road games.

-The Chiefs, after starting 9-0, are on a 2 game losing streak.

Starting lineups

C: Manny Ramirez
RG: Louis Vasquez
RT: Orlando Franklin

DE: Shaun Phillips
DT: Terrence Knighton
DT: Kevin Vickerson
DE: Derek Wolfe
LB: Von Miller

LB: Danny Trevathan
LB: Wesley Woodyard
CB: Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
S: Mike Adams
S: Duke Ihenacho

Chiefs

QB: Alex Smith
RB: Jamaal Charles
FB: Anthony Sherman
WR: Dwayne Bowe
WR: Donnie Avery
TE: Anthony Fasano
LT: Branden Albert
LG: Jeff Allen
C: Rodney Hudson
RG: Jon Asamoah
RT: Eric Fisher

DT: Tyson Jackson
DT: Dontari Poe
OLB: Tamba Hali
LB: Derrick Johnson
LB: Akeem Jordan
OLB: Justin Houston
CB: Sean Smith
S: Eric Berry
S: Kendrick Lewis
CB: Marcus Cooper
CB: Brandon Flowers

Keys to the game

1. Dontari Poe v Manny Ramirez

Knowshon Moreno had a career day in Boston and a big part of the reason was Ramirez and Vasquez were able to dominate up front against a pair of rookie DT's, however Poe is a different kettle of fish. We need another great game by the big uglies, to get Moreno yards.

2. Von Miller v Eric Fisher

Fisher had one of his better games in the first leg but Von Miller had his best game of the season against the Patriots. If Miller can dominate early then it means KC will need to chip in an extra tight end or full back, and will stop them from being able to use McCluster as a weapon on offense.

3. Dwayne Bowe v Bailey/DRC

Bowe had a decent game at mile high last week, and we need to be hoping DRC is healthy enough to play here. He could have a field day against either Champ, Chris Harris, or Kayvon Webster.

4. Manny Ramirez v the Kansas City Chiefs fans

Second appearance for Manny. Arrowhead is the loudest stadium in the NFL, Manny could struggle to get his line calls out there.

5. And finally, Peyton Manning v the elements

Early forecasts show that Missouri next Sunday should be around the freezing level, Manning needs to have a big game in the cold and prove those doubters wrong.

Analysis

I can't see us losing on Sunday, now that KC has lost two on the trot, I think they will free fall a bit. Let's forget about the Pats game and get straight on with the build up to Sunday.

Denver 31-10 Kansas City

I'm hoping that the team equipment manager can find a better fitting glove for Manning. He was tugging and adjusting it before every play. Some of his passes were fluttering, probably because of glove problems.

Well the upside, if any, here is that this team isn't fizzling out in the playoffs. They know that they need to improve and we have some time to do it.

The fumbles have to get under control, its just getting stupid.

Hillman will be back this game, book it.

We're 9-2 people. Sheesh, you would think we just were blown out at home to the Jaguars.

Not nice to see players injured, but it would be a big break for Denver if Hali and Houston don't play.

To the contrary, DRC and Moreno's injuries hopefully aren't serious.

Take us to the promised land, paul-mac

Sounds like we got through without any substantial injuries and will have DRC, Moreno, and even Champ for the game at KC.

If the Chiefs are without Hali and Houston, I don't see how Kansas City will stop the Denver offense as they look to get back on track.

I was 15-2 but it was becoming a pain to have to make it each week.

Should be a fantastic game. Looks like Hali is probablyyy going to play, although that isn't 100% yet.

Monday's news on KC's injuries:

Justin Houston has a dislocated elbow. This looks serious and he will miss the next game.

Tamba Hali has a sprain that may allow him to play against the Broncos. Chiefs won't make that decision until closer to the game.

The front-seven of the Chiefs was very strong earlier in the season but now look so-so over the past month. Their statistics have dropped. After holding teams to less than 17 points through the first 9 games the defense gave up an average of 34 in the last two games, both losses. The front-seven has only 2 sacks in the last month.

It looks like Vickerson will be out for a minimum of six weeks:
