6'6 256

12.5 TFL (2nd B10)

8.5 Sacks (1st B10)

1 FF

1 INT (Returned 33 yards for TD)

Simply said: A freak.

Gregory's body is lean and his arms are long. He has the frame to put on more weight comfortably and is nearly impossible to block one on one. A JUCO transfer, Gregory took the headlines during camp and became starter by game two.

Playing on a horrible defense in which the rest of the D-line is consistently push back Gregory has shown vast improvement over the course of the season. He now holds up well on the edge against the run and maintains his edge on cutbacks.

With an elite first step Gregory flies of the edge and closes quickly. Constantly growing, Gregory has learned to use his hands to slap away blockers and keep them from getting in to his chest.

He still plays high sometimes and doesn't have many moves at this point but the talent, upside, and athletic ability are evident.

This is a first round pick. The only question is how high he could go. That being said he's fully expected to play next season and be a major prospect.

So what your asking is what is this guy's draft stock, by the time he's able to come out in 2 or 3 years.......

I'm sorry, but....nah......one thats useless, and two this is somewhat of a shameless pimp my guy type thread.

That said, he looks really interesting, and absolutely has upside, but its hard to tell with a guy who is so young and who has had only one year of D1 college football.

He's a JUCO player that's draft eligible. There's a chance he comes out this year.

Thanks, Suave.

Sorry, your right, he's 3 years out of HS, but spent the entire last season as a RS as he broke his leg. It took some digging to find that out.

He's eligible right now. Confused

I made the thread because it's overdue. I first had the idea five weeks ago but let him show more. It's time now. He's been dominant from week one but only getting better.

I said he might come back for more experience. That isn't to say he couldn't leave now. He has the talent, the tape, and will wow at the combine if he does.

Just took me a second, see the post above yours. It took a little bit of digging that he was a RS last year due to a broken leg and was actually a RS Soph. There was almost nowhere that had that info cept deep in his bio on Nebraskas site.

As someone who has watched every Nebraska game this I can tell you Gregory is a monster. Being the only good player on defense you would think the offense could stop him but he keeps making plays.

I could see him going late first early second this year, if he comes back and has a big year I could see him going top 15 or higher.

Yeah i could see this, its just hard to think about because he's so raw, especially with his hands right now, but when he gets it right, its scary how good he is...

Dane freaking loves this guy. I haven't seen him yet, but it sounds like I need to.

Gregory is to Pete and Dane as to what Oakman is to you and Josh...not a matter of if he's a round one guy but how far up they'll go whenever they choose to go out.

From what i've been able to watch on Gregory (vs SoMiss, and UCLA), he looks really talented, but the guy almost avoids contact and has no idea how to shed a block once he's locked on (though he does fight like hell to get off, which is half the battle, and the other half can be taught). He needs to develop a bull rush to play off of his burst and length. When a OT mirrors him, he just dances back and fourth with him and never really attacks him. Even though this is expected for a lot of pass rushers, he's a guy who should spend a year as a pass rush specialist, developing his game before he can become a full time starter. He's got massive upside though, and still looks like he has a frame to add another 10 lbs.

From I have seen of him, he is a really talented pass rusher who moves very fluid. My thing is I don't know of he is a 4-3 end or a 3-4 olb but every game he plays in from now to the bowl game is critical for him

Except he's not really anything like Smith other than his length. If i had to give him a comparison....honestly, as a prospect, he's a bit like Ware was as a prospect, long lean, finesse style rusher, who needs to add bulk and get more physical to succeed.
