Quote:
The Chiefs are fourth in the league in dropped passes with 28. They’ve had only one game, last month’s home matchup against Cleveland, without a dropped pass.

Charles leads the league in dropped passes with nine, an indication he’s not as polished as a receiver as the Chiefs would like. Bowe has struggled with dropped passes his entire career, while Avery has also had bouts with drops over the years.

Not a whole lot of news to anyone, but the overall number of drops for the team is alarming, and despite I've mentioned it before a few times, the fact that Charles LEADS THE LEAGUE IN DROPS is probably a surprise to some.

While JC is dynamic in the open field, he kills drives because we try to force him the ball so much on screens and dump offs, instead of just running the damn ball.

More than anything I want a WR drafted that doesn't drop passes. Zero. I don't care about his speed. I just want someone who makes catches.

Crappy thing is most possession receivers are either taken in the top 5 or slowly develop into that over time ala Anquon Boldin. I don't want us to reach on a Wr near the end of the first round like we did with Jon Baldwin / San Fran with Jenkins. We need to just continue to take good football players. I think if a good quality Cb is available we should look at that along with another olb pass rusher.

Let's get us some Mike Evans, how about that?

JC seems to catch the ball better down field than on the edge. Maybe looking to get the ball too quick and make the first guy miss....just a thought. Anybody else think they have seen the same thing??

Jimmy I noticed the same thing. It's the quick slant and dump off he struggles with the most. I'm thinking of the quick hitter on during the first Donkeys game that would have been a TD...killed us long term.

Honestly, Bigs I am surprised by the numbers...I thought they'd be higher, and I thought we'd be 1st. I'm find with a drop here and there, or laying out and just missing it. But our team drops SO many passes that would be big plays, or should be simple receptions for guys making this much bank.

I would have thought Bowe and Avery would be around 1 drop per game, but maybe I'm over-reacting. I easily think this number could be higher and our WRs are getting the benefit of the doubt too much.
