Don't quote me on this but I believe I read somewhere along the line Dallas has now tied the record with Minnesota.

It wasn't Minnesota

Tennessee though did go 8-8 in three straight seasons, and topped off the year following with a 13-3 record and a trip to the Super Bowl.

A lot of it will depend on who we replace Hatcher and Spencer with, the volume of injuries we sustain, and how well/poorly Garrett coaches. If he continues to be outcoached by wet paper sacks, then we'll never be anything more than an 8-8 team. If he doesn't screw up games like he has in the past, then we'd have a very reasonable chance at winning 10-11 games.

You don't really believe that's possible. You're just trying to derail this thread with your blind homerism. Get real! This is Jerry's team we're talking about.

I've been saying this for years. We're a team which could go 11-5 with a better coach who'd help keep this team stay out of its own way.

I would post this in the news and notes thread. But frankly I know better than to give some of you the ability to infect other threads.

Before people start getting too excited - has has mentioned in the past that his recent years would earn him and F from his former friend Steinbrenner. So while self-awareness is nice. And the first step is admitting you have a problem, there is still a long way to go.

Nothing matters unless he actually does something about it. Which he won't.

And can you blame him? He is the one making money off this whole thing. If he wants to play with his toy he can. It sucks as fans to see it happen but there isn't anything we can do about it. No one will have mass boycotts or anything. We are just stuck until he decides he can't do it anymore.

Can I blame him? Yes, I can. Easily, as a matter of fact. And the reason is because he lies to the fans and expects us to believe him. Telling us that he's going to do whatever it takes to win and will ensure that the team will be "uncomfortable", and yet never holds anyone accountable is nothing more than lip service. And unlike many people on this forum, I reject lip service. If a man says he's willing to do "whatever it takes", then my expectation is just that. So yes, I blame him. I blame him for being a smarmy, lying, piece of garbage and snake oil salesman who continually tries to hoodwink people into thinking he's doing what's best for this team when he isn't.

I think at this point he isn't hoodwinking anyone, at least not fans that follow the Cowboys like most of us here. We know he is going to do what he wants to do. We know we have no say in that no matter how much we complain. He doesn't have to do anything about it. He is the one paying all that money for the team and the one getting the profits from it. He is a business man first and the rest follows. It sucks and as fans we remain loyal to a fault but at the end of the day what a small group thinks or does in regards to Jerry's ownership, it doesn't matter.
