I would laugh at the situation but then I think about our qb situation.

Really? You really think riding McCown/Glennon for the year and getting a potential stud come draft time is funnier then paying Smith $80,000,000... you did it again Red! I'm almost starting to think you do this for the shock factor you dog Laughing

Meh I don't like the overall deal but that's the going rate for playoff qbs. And I'm waiting for the financials first to judge. When Andy Dalton's deal was announced I was in a WTF mode until the break down allows them to technically get out of it in two years.

And yeah sometimes I'd take a guy who can lead a team to wins and playoff contention at that price for the garbage we've been watching.

Mallett going to Houston. I'm interested to see him finally see the field as a starter. Shouldn't be long IMO. But he's looked rough this preseason. Small gamble for the texans.

He seems to look rough every preseason.

Yeah. He's a gun slinger and has a low completion % bc of that. I'm just intrigued because the pats held his trade value in respect of a low 1st to 2nd round pick range for any team to trade for him. Now with Garoppolo on board, they deal him for a 6th.

Mallett's value has dropped every year, as he got older and showed minimal improvement year-to-year. Jimmy G showed just enough for New England to deal him.

That, and Jimmy G still has upside. Mallett doesn't seem to have much more room for improvement.

Watt's Contract is well deserved, and it should give a outline on what we should give McCoy.

If Alex Smith can make $15,000,000+ per season I zero issue paying McCoy that much as well.

Isn't he already at 15 million this year?

I honestly don't think McCoys extension is going to be too much of a difference between what he's making this year and his new deal.

I just restructured him in madden. 14.5 a year. 6 years.

So it was like 6 year, 70 million. Do first three years GTD, so 38 gtd. Would put him over 80 million GTD on his career
