Watching that "dunk contest" made me embarrassed for the NBA.

Im a big Pacers fan, so I was pulling for Paul George, but I don't think its as much the players fault as it is the NBA's. The format sucks. The NBA seems to try something new every year and messes it up more and more. I know they want fan interaction, but in my opinion the best way to do it is have 6 participants that get narrowed down to 4 after 1 dunk, 2 after 2 dunks and then have the last 2 guys face off for the Dunk Contest Title. 3 competent judges should judge the whole way.

Not the players fault at all. The new format was freakin awful, that freestyle thing was a mess. You could tell the players weren't sure whether to dunk as a team or just do individual dunks. The fans, for whatever reason, just aren't into it anymore. That reverse 360 through the legs by George was an insane dunk, and it barely drew a little cheer from the fans. Pathetic.

They are trying so hard to make the stupid t-shirt jerseys work. I'm embarrassed for the NBA for this weekend, what a disaster.

#thingsbetterthanthedunkcontest was trending for hours last night and today.

Yeah. I'm preferring the walking dead over the all star game. It's only gone downhill.

Hmmm, I guess the Falcons like to collect bad for Buc o-linemen. First, Trueblood, now Carimi. I'm sure Matt Ryan feels better about his o-line at the moment. Very Happy

So gross lol.

I like the guy but damn that's a ton of cash for a mid tier qb. 199 yards per game last season, one of the most sacked qbs in the league, 31st in the league in comp %... yuck.

Someone will give him that. If they can't work something out, they should trade him now while his value is high and pick a quarterback round 1. They have some high picks, might as well use them.

I wouldn't be overly pumped about Cally, he's a solid grinding type guy, but the 1st and 2nd rounders? Huge. That pick could end up in the top half of the draft next year, and next year's draft is SUPER deep. Weird trade for a team like the Rangers that aren't exactly on the edge of the cup, giving up a 1st and 2nd for a 39 year old player.

I was specifically talking about the picks, more so the first in next years draft. Two first rounders and Stamkos could help build this team for the future

Well tbh I'm just looking for one more person to join a fun league I have going on in the fantasy/GM/sim thread.

You are starting a franchise with all 4 major sports teams. You draft from scratch.

Just looking for an educated poster.
