Been on a 70's soft rock kick. I get on kicks with random types of music and such. About a year ago I was on a grunge kick lol.

Some really good soft rock in the 70's. May be a better decade of music than the 80's.

Thus far I have become a "Bread" fan.

The 70's were a great decade of music. The 80's flat out sucked.

That about sums it up. The only positive I saw in the 80s was the beginning of strong speed metal with Metallica and Overkill leading the charge. But even that was slowing considerably by the end of the decade and was really about all the 80s could claim as good. Late 60s/early 70s seems to me to a great era for cars, music, ect. I really was born too late Laughing

I strongly disagree, sure some 80s was awful but you can say that about any generation. I actually enjoyed the hair bands, the one hit wonders, and just about everything else about the 80's. Although 80's hip hop was not my flavor and I enjoy the 90s much more.

Even if you like the hair bands, they really started in the 70s (even 60s if you really want to get down to it) and it is hard to claim they were better than the original rock and roll movement. I have nothing against the hair bands, but they really don't even compare. The 80s was arguably the worst musical decade since the 19th century.

The great thing about so much of the early 70's was the great music didn't even get air play. You learned about music by sharing or trading albums with friends, searching out pirate or college radio stations.

Then along came disco and as it rose in popularity the quality of music started to diminish. The final nail was the music video era. Crying or Very sad

If the rumours are true Dumars won't have his contract renewed as President of the Pistons but will stay on as an advisor.

Seems reasonable. I like Dumars, but it is becoming very clear he lacks the magic beans for the rebuild this time around.

I agree. He's been given a fair chance to get the team on track.

Do you all think it's kind of BS to buy a secondhand engagement ring? I've been with my lady for just over 3 years. I've been wanting to pop the question for a while now, but I'm waaaayyy short on the type of ring I'd like to get her. Long story short one of my work clients is recently divorced and is looking to sell his ring for peanuts. I wouldn't consider it normally because of the bad luck type of feeling that might surround such a thing, but it's such an awesome deal I would be an idiot to pass it up. All input is appreciated.

I think the answer lies in each individual. And if you are on an internet message board looking for acceptance, then you already know the answer.

My wife wears a ring I bought on Amazon for $130. I have found after a number of years it doesn't seem to affect our relationship for better or for worse.
