Turn the pace up and burn Bowles!

Let's focus on the Skins before we jump ahead two weeks to the Cards. NFCE wins are important.

And with the few injuries we've suffered, the bye week is coming at the right time.

I'm just happy we improved over our record last year.

4-12 was definitely a significant improvement from 8-8.

7th straight game holding teams to 21 points and under. This time vs a top 10 offense.

This defense is for real.

It's a very weird defense, though. Pretty bad in yards and 3rd downs, but pretty good in the redzone and points, at least recently. I'll take it, but I don't understand it.

Remember 2-3 years ago Eagles had that historically bad red zone defense? It was some ridiculous stat like Eagles had 2nd worse red zone defense since the merger or something like that.

Now they are like the extreme definition of bend don't break.

Oh and I still say Vinny Curry gets more PT and the defense could even take the next step.

Reminds me of the Patriots Defense the past few years which were good overall considering. Big yardage allowed, very good RZ, limited points, and timely TO's. Litterally Bend don't Break!

Also important to point out that with your offense, you don't exactly need your defense to be the Kansas City Chiefs to have a legit chance to compete even this year

Just need the defense to be slightly above average which it is showing it has all the capabilities of being

Big couple of tests coming after the bye against the Cardinals and Lions passing attack though

Two beasts in Fitzgerald and Calvin Johnson and two decent QBs

Really hope Fletcher is back in time for Fitz. Hopefully Stafford is off like his usual self is.

Yeh, I agree, the bye week has come at the right time for us. Allows us to take stock of the last 3 weeks.

I was reading this article http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/sports/eagles/The-Eagles-2012-and-2013-draft-classes-could-be-the-franchises-foundation.html

And the one thing that really sold me on our defense now and the future is how well our D-line is playing

Cox is leading the league in pressures for a 3-4 linemen and Curry is 10th even with his limited playing time. Along with how Benny Logan and Thorton are coming along we may have one of the Best D-Lines in the league Shocked
All we might need is a big run stuffer at NT and were golden

The best thing about our defense now though is that we actually have players with the athleticism to succeed in the NFL rather than undersized "high motor" guys.

If we managed to get Nix I would CMJ at our D-Line for years.
