Not sure if this was brought up already, but how on Earth did Kelly and Pat Shurmur (up in the booth) miss that clear incompletion on a pass to Jarrett Boykin that was ruled a catch on the field?

That 3rd and long play should have been challenged, especially when the Packers were seemingly rushing to get the next snap off.

Kelly's challenges (and lack of them at times) have been sub par thus far.

None of that was on Kelly IMO, he wasn't told to from above. That fell squarely on Shurmur up in the box. I'm willing to bet Kelly never even saw the replay in the stadium until it was to late. I'm starting to wonder how quickly that replay was sent up to the booth from different angles as well. It simply was inexcusable if indeed Shurmur saw what we saw not to inform Kelly.

Wait, that's what Shurmur's responsibility was. I thought he was only a coach in name Laughing

I really think they just didn't want to challenge a play just for the sake of challenging, yeah they probably could have had it turned over but they weren't key moments. I'm probably throwing the flag anyways, but the only reasonable excuse I can think of is that the play just wasn't important enough to even challenge.

It was like a 35 yard gain on third down.. It was a pretty important play. I think Shurmur and Kelly are just gun shy after some early failures with the challenge flag. They are going to be more aware of the challenge flags in the future which is a good thing.

Was early in the game and I think we were up, they could have just figured it wasn't that important. Just playing devil's advocate though, I have no idea why they didn't challenge.

Kelly confirmed as much in yesterday's PC. They recieved only one replay angle upstairs not the multiple angles we at home saw. So there was nothing to challenge in their eyes since the angle they got showed two feet down. Not the angle with the elbow. Makes sense.

That homefield advantage

We at home get the best view.
