I hope he plays, honestly. The Lions can beat them with or without Cutler. I'd rather he play and the Lions beat Chicago so that there are no excuses if the Lions win the division. I guarantee you that if the Lions win the division that other fans won't say it's legit because Rodgers and (possibly) Cutler were/are/ may be missing from the games. I have faith in the Lions IF they can play up to their potential.

I too hope Cutler plays. McCown has looked like good manager. Cutler takes more risks.

Id love a win (obviously Laughing) , its going to be an extremely tough game, with or without Cutler, our record there certainly in recent time is not great, Its a game and situation in years past Detroit Mentally wouldn't cut it, hopefully we can put that right and try and stake a serious claim on the division.

my thoughts exactly. Cutler is more talented, but makes worse decisions with the ball. If he is still a little injured, that could actually mess with him mentally by potentially trying to compensate for it.

Also, more Cutler means less Forte, which would be a benefit as well.

We control our own destiny, which is a great position to be in. If we want to prove that we're a playoff team, we should be able to win games like this.

So, lets see if we are.

If we don't win these types of games, we don't deserve to be in the playoffs. If we want to be established as contenders, we have to win these tough games.

Not only win the tough games, but take advantage of the breaks. McCown may be "safer", but Cutler - when on - has the ability to take over a game. If McCown is the starter, which he likely will be, we have no excuse not to win.

We are 30th in the NFL in sacks. According to PFF, and considering all of the relevant stats, we have a top 10 pass-rush. Sack totals can be misleading.

I agree totally.

On the road, outdoors in November against a division opponent with 1st place up for grabs.

This should be a great game.

good point. i would like to see some sort of stat that incorporates average time allowed per drop back, etc.
