Houston: 2-6 (1-3) away
Cardinals: 4-4 (3-1) at home

Well, what can we say? Obviously, the Texans are still mathematically in this. I'm not a big optimistic person. I think this is going to be how the Texans will stay for the rest of the season. They will play teams hard and tough. Sometimes they will pull it out, sometimes they won't. Keenum has given this team a surge on the offensive side of the ball. But, like always it appears the defensive can't get that spark. Especially without Cushing it's tough. Last week was a really tough pill to swallow. I'd hope all of us are sending out good thoughts and well wishes to Gary. It also goes to show you that the players care about him cause their minds did seem elsewhere in the second half. Obviously, this team has talent they just don't always put everything together for four quarters. They usually are the ones that come back in the fourth quarter. I'm not sure why but they seem to struggle with the lead.

It will be an interesting game vs. the Cardinals. If the Texans can put enough pressure on Palmer, he will struggle. I'd like to see JJ or Jackson on Fitzgerald the whole game without switching. See which one is doing a better job that day and leave him. Andre Ellington has been showing the Cards what they got with him. I can only hope Sharpton, Mays and Brooks Reed aren't left to cover him cause that won't end well.

I'm caught in the middle cause I want to see the Texans play well and want Case and Dre to have awesome games. But, my love for LSU is keeping me divided because of Patrick Peterson and Tyrann Mathieu. PP on Dre will be the matchup to watch. Not sure who Mathieu will be shadowing cause the Texans don't really have a slot guy excluding Martin and Martin is iffy. Graham and Griffin might be left to Mathieu.

Anyway, this is my first gameday thread and I hope you all enjoy it. Geaux Texans. Geaux Tigers Alumni. Very Happy

Wow. With all that has happened to coaches this past week, I actually thought you were talking about Bruce for a minute Confused

thanks for the thread info ..trying to pick this last game. Zona -off their bye- should win at home. It's just so hard to imagine another loss for you guys when you have Wade filling in and the team playing for their battered coach.

If our defense can't force turnovers today, then we wont have a shot to win. Palmer has 14 INT's so far this season, including at least 1 in every game. Im comfortable our pass D will be good to stop Palmer. It's just sad that we have playmakers in the defense and we still have the fewest INTs in the league.

Denver @ San Diego (red) -- Jim Nantz, Phil Simms [AK; HI]
Houston @ Arizona (blue) -- Kevin Harlan, Solomon Wilcots
NO GAME (grey) due to NFL rules

Game Release

Officiating crew: Gene Steratore

Keys to victory:
1. Score more points than the other team (thought they may need to be reminded of this small detail)
2. No penalties on 3rd down.
3. Don't let Randy lose this one, score TDs.
4. Tackle, tackle, tackle.

i hate to even bring this up, but we are still only 2 1/2 games back from the 6th seed with 8 games left, anything is possible

outside of the top 5 teams the race for the 6th seed is wide open, and we have 4 winnable games in the next 5....we could be sitting at 6-7 going into the final 3 games....

I think 9-7 will get into the playoffs this season so until we reach 8 loses there is still hope

I think Kub not being there, isn't helping Keenums confidence....

Loving how Keenum looks for Andre in the red zone.
