On this forum there has been a lot of criticism towards Daryn Colledge but truth be told he is the best offensive lineman we have. Furthermore, he is the 4th rated Guard overall and the #2 Left Guard. I wouldnt be so quick to toss him after the season. I know he is due sizable money next season but I think he should be restructured.

Obviously Cooper will be LG maybe Colledge moves to RG like he was supposed to this year.

He's certainly making the case to stick around another year.

If he truly is the 4th best guard then he's not getting underpaid. I think he's been very consistent this year and our best pass blocker by a mile. My question is can he be as effective at RG next year?

If I'm honest I'm Noy sure where they are getting all their positive grades from. He has been solid, but he still has games where he gets destroyed in the physical battle.

He does he job most of the time, but standing out on our OL is not hard. Might have to take a gander at a bit more OL stuff, but bottom line, he is overpaid for what he dies on the field.

According to a lot of people PFF rankings are kinda a joke. I mean there's no way Darren Colledge is a top-5 interior lineman.

I thought he's played decent this year given the circumstances - especially compared to his last couple of years. He's never going to physically dominate, but he can grind and play smart. I can see keeping him at the right price - which has to be lower than it is right now - and hopefully his play stays at this level ...

No doubt I think Sowell and Fanaika are the issues going forward with this line - and one of those will be solved by Coop coming back. Just need an LT... Razz A bonus would be a center to compete with Lyle - and back up if needed.
