Romo made game killing mistakes at about the same rate as Eli, coming Ito this season. Eli has definitely made more this year.

Also worth noting that no one has more 4th qtr comebacks since 2011 than Tony Romo (Luck and Stafford both tied with him)

I'm glad to have Romo, but when has he taken a team on his back to led them to a win in Dec. or Jan.? Eli may be a country bumpkin, but he has done it twice.

You can take any stat and do whatever you want. The bottom line is, the team shoots itself in the foot more often than not, not just Romo. Giants played clean games in their SB runs and executed the plays. They were well prepared. I don't think the coaching has been up to par with the Giants the past decade. Giants won in 2011 with some breakout WR, a no name tight end, and a decent but non-HoF offensive line. Because the coaching was able to teach receivers and TE's how to run proper routes and Eli made them better. They were 32nd in the run in 2011, but they ran effectively when they had to in the playoffs, and Gilbride didn't abandon it. Rob Ryan is not this great defensive mind. He is solid but he needs HoF players to win, and we've only had one on that side of the ball that also comes up small in a lot of big games. Before that the defense was terrible. Wade Phillips, another guy that is solid but not great, as is evident with the collapses over and over again when Houston was competitive. Now we are just devoid of talent after drafting poorly despite solid coaching.

Offensively, we don't have a top notch play caller. I think Callahan is pretty darn good, and he ressurrected a lot of careers in Oakland. Yeah those players were HoFers, but they were not in their primes, from Garner, to Rice, to Brown, to Gannon. But before that, Garret was not that guy.

I like Garret's mentality and personality, but he needs to be more aggressive with the personnel and in game decisions. Play to his strengths. You cannot rely on this defense against a top notch offense, you just can't. Ride Romo and Dez this year, and if they turn it over in crunch time they turn it over. You want the game in Romo's hands in crunch time when you have an opportunity to put one away with a lead.

But no run game, horrible defense. We need to fix that in the next couple of years if Romo and the rest of these veterans want to end on a SB Championship.

Um... 3 times Last season? December 4th qtr comeback wins @Philly, @Cincy, and home against Pittsburgh.
