We are in an eerily similar situation to 2002, the one year we went to the playoffs.

Should we beat BAL, we would be 4-5 going into the bye week, same as we were then, facing a comparatively easy schedule for the last 7 games, same as then, with certain facets of team's play (e.g., OL & D) improving.

On the one hand, all this heady talk of possibly winning out or 3-5 wins or better sounds like some people have tapped into Gordon's stash.

On the other, 2002 is proof that we will not be out of it at 4-5 at the bye and that it can happen.

So I will say 6-8, really meaning 6, and: GO BROWNS...KICK SOME RAVEN BUTTS!

Baltimore (off two close loses and coming off their bye week)
Win - It is in Cleveland. Our D kept us in the first one. If we had Hoyer or Campbell playing we probably would have won it.
@Cincinnati (comes off the Browns bye week, CIN might clinch the division with a W?)
Loss - It is in Cinci and they are playing tough this year.
Pittsburgh (defense has stepped up, but still no offense)
Win - That offensive line they got it going to make watching Big Ben get sacked over and over again very enjoyable.
Jacksonville (JAC best shot at a win?)
Win - They are terrible.
@New England (Brady... Dam you)
Loss - It is in New England and it is the patriots. We don't have the talent yet to beat them.
Chicago (offense good + defense bad= bears? Weird)
Could go either way - Chicago isn't very good but they are a better team than us. Can the home fan give us the win? Also this is probably the only game I'm going to this year. I would love to see a win!
@New York Jets (extremely up and down)
Loss - They are so up and down this year but so are we. Somehow I see us losing this and crashing our wildcard hopes completely.
@Pittsburgh (defense has stepped up, but still no offense)
Win - With that line Big Ben is probably dead by this game. Our D has fun and takes their frustrations from missing the playoffs out on the hapless squeelers. I'd happily take a sweep of them and a better draft
pick!

Either 7-9 or 8-8 depends on the Chicago game.

that is all

Well, im in the minority but we have just went through the toughest part of our schedule and had an opportunity to win. Think about if we had either Hoyer or Campbell the Dolphins,Ravens, Lions, or Packers games. We would be 3-1 in that stretch, If Bess hadn't crapped down his leg we win the Chiefs game. We are a lot better than our record suggests, we could easily be sitting here at 6-2. I see us playing pretty good football going forward, Don't be surprised if we beat the Patriots, they are very beatable, they just lost Volmer, and those receivers are inconsistent and wont be able to run against us. We can beat them, lets not just easily count that as a loss.

Fellas, look at the schedule hard and look at where we are as a team right now, we could go on a roll.... We have full control of how the division ends up

I'm really hoping for 4 more wins.

7-9 just seems so much better than 6-10 for some reason. Not to mention, we'd be .500 after trading 'our best offensive player'.

Jets and Jags are winnable, as are BOTH games against the Steelers. The Ravens don't appear to be anything special and we've beaten the Bengals already. Bears could be in trouble if Cutler doesn't come back, and come back strong.

They'll have to play well and Campbell will have to play solid football, but I could see 4 wins out the last 8 games, 5 would be fantastic, and probably unrealistic.

I'll be the first to admit I was wrong. Campbell played 200% better today than I expected him too.

My main question is why in the world did weeden ever see the field this year? Could weeden really have looked that good in practice ? Ugh...

If the browns can maintain this level of play they might actually be in reach of the playoffs this year after all? Crazy talk....

I pimped for us to get Campbell and thought he was much better than Weeden.

In all fairness, Chud and the FO had to try Weeden to see if there was anything there before moving on.

Campbell can take us to the playoffs from this point.

We've got a very real chance to make a run.

Realistically we have a very real chance at finishing out 4-3 to end the season at 8-8 or 3-4 to finish 7-9

Holy Christ, I think I agree with bruce.

With Weeden having only played a year they had to see what he could do.

That said the other two guys have looked exponentially better.

Even more so If the Ravens knock them off while we have our bye.

That would have the Bengals at 6-5 and us at 5-5 Shocked

I think if Campbell keep playing like this we will win every game a part from 1, unless we improve our running game, if we improve that then we will win out, as long as Campbell play decent.

I expect that we will get better on defense.

I also expect that we will see some improvement in the running game.

Jason Campbell might have finally his place after 10 years in the league. The guy has looked great, he has proven to be slightly below average starter in the league, but has really impressed me.

Also just goes to show how bad Weeden really is.

On another note, how bout Nick Foles. I was so high on this guy in the 2012 draft and there were many (if not all) that thought he was trash. This guy looks like he could be a very good starter. Also Case Keenum, another guy from the 2012 draft, has found his place in Houston. This guy is a beast.

But thank God we drafted Weeden in the 1st round...
