He's physically superior and every bit of dedicated to the game. He's the greatest receiver to ever play the game, IMO, so yes, he's better than Rice. I dunno if he'll match Rice's bulk stats though lol.

I could only imagine how good he'd be if he got to play with Montana, Young, Garcia and Gannon for a good majority of his career.

I watched the Lions@Cowboys from start to end. I saw a WR dominate like no other ive ever seen. The most recent memory was Andre going for like 250 in OT last year but this was different. Calvin was double and triple covered most of the game and just took over when the game mattered the most. He has the will and skill to be as good as a WR as anyone. I personally would take a Calvin>Rice because from a talent standpoint, no matter what you do you cant take him out of the game and hes completely unstoppable. 329 is just SICK! It sounds like a lot to say but Calvin is that good. Am i crazy to think this? Confused

Really depends on how much you value career longevity. A reason why Rice holds a lot of receiving records is because he played for a very, very long time. I personally don't see Calvin playing as long as Rice, so I highly doubt he'll even come close to Rice's career numbers.

Based on talent, I think Calvin's better though.

Would also help Calvin if he had the opportunity to play in a couple more playoff games. So far the only playoff game he's played in, he went for 200+ yards and 2TDs.

He won't. This is Jerry Rice not Moss. He says Moss is better than Moss.

Johnson is everything you look for in a receiver. He is the prototype receiver and could be considered the GOAT when he is done.

The most important thing for him is how he adapts when he starts to decline as an athlete. He will improve from a technical standpoint throughout his career, but if he is able to sustain his production despite declining athletic ability, he could surpass Rice's numbers.

What's more impressive is who Johnson has had as his Qb. Stafford is a very good Qb, but is he on the same level as Montana and Young? He also had a season of John Kitna. Despite that he is on track to beat Rice's yardage record by about 2000 yards by the time he reaches 300 games. That while being doubled and tripled for most of his career.

He's playing as well as you can possible play the position IMO. If he keeps this up for another 3 seasons then he's right there in the GOAT conversation for me.

Rice is still considered the G.O.A.T. because of his incredible consistency and longevity. If it were about athleticism and physical attributes, Moss would've surpassed him by now. Lets see if Johnson can match Rice's consistency, durability and longevity (Although I will acknowledge that Rice was placed in a easier situation to maintain his dominance).

Beating Jerry and becoming the GOAT is about more than just how a guy is playing right now, or adding up his stats for the last 3 seasons or whatever. To be the GOAT, you have to beat the GOAT. Moss tried and fell off before he got to the summit. Next up is CJ.

I can say he is playing exceptionally well. And he may be the most physically gifted/intimidating WR I have ever seen. And without a doubt he is playing at a GOAT level. But time will tell. Does he have what it takes to scale the mountain like Jerry did?

Johnson can definitely exceed rice if he continues on his current path. Has all the tools to do it.
