Had we not traded Revis, I bet we would have taken Warmack at 9.

It depends on if they wanted to sign him long term which Woody did not want to do. If they were planning on paying him then yea I absolutely agree, I'm saying it would have been stupid to just let him walk and not get anything. If they were to take that approach though I think they still take Dee at 9 to lessen the blow of Revis' eventual departure.

which is crazy considering they called Geno when they picked Sheldon and said it came down to those 2

so in theory we got 3 of our top 5

Possibly, yeah. I wouldn't be surprised if we had guys like Jonathan Cooper and Barkevious Mingo ahead of Geno.

well yeah its hard to know who was on the board before hand

you would think Cooper, Mingo, Jordan and Hayden were up there somewhere

At least Rex is still a fan.

I see a lot of similarities to when Kyle Wilson was forced to start in his rookie year. Wilson improved and Milliner will too. He needs to put on some muscle but after he gets through these injuries and his rookie struggles the physical talents are there. What's more worrying is that Cro isn't playing a little better on the other side of him.

Milliner has looked lost and appears to be a boy playing among men but I agree he is a rookie, has been hurt and there is some chance he can improve. However Kyle Wilson has had me pulling my hair out since we drafted him and I sincerely hope he does not revert into Wilson 2.0. Whenever I see Wilson on the field I pretty much know where the other team is going with the ball. Is it me or do a lot of Bama defenders have a rough time transitioning to the NFL?

How do you judge a rookie that basically missed most of the offseason?
You can not label Milliner a bust. Not yet, not now.
He was drafted and missed the Jets offseason workout programs. An achilles injury caused him to miss 2 preseason games. A hamstring inury in week 4 has caused him to miss three games.

Milliner needs to get healthy. He needs a full offseason of an NFL workouts to get his body NFL ready. Right now, he is just a guppy swimming with sharks.

I think Milliner had a solid game today, looked much better. Just needs some confidence and for the game to slow down.

He was lucky on that one deep throw where he was beat badly by I think Nick Toon who dropped the ball. But otherwise, it was a much better performance.

Can anyone say how he faired lined up 1-1 in press? I was limited to sports radio, but the announcers were saying his name left and right when mentioning deflections and could-be interceptions.

Yeah, he got confused at the last second on that play. Not sure if it was a late pump fake or the sun or something that threw him off.

Overall, this is easily his best game. He broke up a few passes and made some impressive tackles when he did allow completions.

I was happy just to see him improve. Not a great performance, but t's enough to show that he is learning something.

One thing about this kid is that he tackles very well, which is encouraging to see from a young corner. He had a nice pass break up and was inches from his first interception. Still got beat by Toon on that deep ball (it looked like he misstepped or something) but overall I would say it was an encouraging game.
