Mike Ditka said he would have benched Dez... Funny I never hear people get upset when Tom Brady curses his teammates out like dogs. Dez is a victim here. He has a killer mentality, most of the great athletes of all time do. Some show it in different ways. What made Jordan the GOAT? His killer mentality. He might not be as loud, but he also punched his teammate in the face in practice... What about Tim Tebow? He looks crazy as hell on the sidelines. The media is being hypocritical in their analysis of Dez.

People want to put the diva/thug/selfish mantle on Dez.

Like Deion Said, Dez is the only one we can relate to, were tired of being a .500 team and were mad as hell!

I think all the commentators that were stereotyping dez owe him an apology now that the audio has come out and proved them wrong

I'd wait until we know what he said in the Witten/Ware conversation. Wink

probably something like

"Hey Wit! We're the best weapons on this team in 15 years and we have a combined 5 targets today! Despite the lions not having anyone who can cover us. Lets go whoop the HC for not throwing us the freaking ball!"

I would guess it was something along these lines.......

Dez: damn defense did it again. Hell i could of done a better job than them.

Witten: dude come on lets go win this!!

Dez: wtf!! Are you smoking Witten??

Witten: theres 12 seconds left. Look!! 12 seconds, get your helmet, i got mine.

Ware: wat you say bout my defensive teammates??

Dez: i dont got time. It would take me all day to talk of their short-comings. I gotta go run the ol' hook and ladder because this special teamer is about to kill a few seconds off the clock.

Like I thought. He wasn't being a diva. He was all passion. All motivation. Laughing

Hence why I said I supported the outburst. Like I said yesterday, people would've had a much different (and far more positive) reaction from this had the last name on the jersey read, "IRVIN". Dez Bryant is no diva. He's just the only player on this team who genuinely cares about winning, is tired of losing, and rejects mediocrity. No one else on this team has that mentality. NO ONE.

Why or how the Cowboys still get the media coverage they do is beyond me. They are the very defintion olf mediocrity.

Because we're the most popular and the most hated team in the league. Just like the NY Yankees, L.A. Lakers, and Manchester United soccer. Being the biggest brand in the sport makes you the most covered. It comes with the territory, whether the team is great, good, mediocre, or trash.

I'm sure that Ditka has a different opinion now that he know what was said and the context in which it was said. Besides, he really isn't someone who should be criticizing anyone for having an attitude or for showing emotion on the sidelines. He made a career out of it.

If all the other 52 players on this team had as much passion as Dez does for wanting to win this team would be far better off. I have no issue with both his episodes of passion.

If ROMO played with this kind of passion we'd be better off, because he'd inspire the rest of the team to behave that way. But, he'd prefer to hide on the bench and look at pictures and only occasionally coach up his teammates. If he had half of Aikman's sack, we'd be an 11 or 12 win team every damn year.

Ima say something that most of if not all of you dont want to hear. Romo is just as good, if not better than Aikman. Yes i seen Aikman play, no im not basing this on Romo's number. If Romo had half of Aikmans oline or half the RB that was Smith he would have a few SuperBowls by now. If Romo had a competant head coach or average defense.

This team would be goin head to head with Jacksonville without Romo. Do i wish he was a fiery leader, yes. He just isnt that type of personality. He will get after you at times out of pure frusturation. But be a Dez type of passion he will never be. Thats why i only ask for some passion of what Dez has. You are either born with that mentality or not.
