According to Mortreport

Both of P. Manning's ankles are sprained, including a high right ankle sprain aggravated by Robert Mathis' 2nd sack. Pain killer for today.

High Ankle sprains are notoriously nagging and take a few weeks of rest to fully clear, if not more. I realize his position makes him less affected by it but if Orlando Franklin isn't playing today I feel like Brock should start. If Manning goes down so does our super bowl hopes. Maybe a trade for Joe Thomas is in order?

It sounds like the injuries are not too serious. That is, his ankles will hurt but he can play through the pain.

Hopefully they heal up during the bye week. We are facing KC's pass rush twice after.
