1 - Paul Fanaika is not a serviceable guard.
2 - Sowell was OK. Helped we only threw the ball 18 times. He was a part of a massive lead block for a big run from Ellington, but the next to plays he crapped the bed. It also looked odd on the 80 yard TD that on an off tackle run Sowell appeared to block....nobody.

What do you guys think we could realistically get for Fitz and where would he go?

I wouldn't be surprised at the Colts, Pats, Bengals, Steelers, Panthers or even Vikings.

I think it really depends on how desperately we want to move him and how desperately a team is in need of a WR. We got two 3rds for Anquan Boldin and a 5th. Boldin was younger than Fitz at the time of the trade. But Boldin was going into the last year of his contract and demanded a trade. I think we traded him for a little less than what he deserved.

Having said that, Fitz is a better WR than Boldin. I would not want to do it for anything less than a late 1st. But if Fitz refuses to renegotiate his contract with us and the front office wants to move on, we could be looking at a trade similar to the Boldin one.

If Trent Richardson is worth a 1st, then so is Fitz.

However, TR's contract isnt what Fitz's is, so that has to be added into calcs.

2nd rounder plus 4th and 5th, if the 2nd is high

Otherwise, 2nd rounder plus 3rd and 5th for teams picking 20 or lower.

I second this, I find it hard for us not to get a good little something in return for him

I don't see the point in moving him. Just restructure his deal a bit. Fitz isn't a selfish guy.

Outside of the obvious Evans and Watkins, I like what I see in Jordan Matthews.

There is no need for him to restructure, contract is in his favour massively, as we did that to keep him last restructure.

We are stuck massively between a rock and a hard place.

Check overthecap.com, read the article there about his contract, smacks of desperation on our part, but that is what needed to be done, look at the sellouts we have because of that deal.

it is either trade or cut him, or worse give him another massive contract and cause issues in 2 - 3 years again.

Yeh me too, there are a few good receivers out there next year.

Somers tweeted that trading Fitz would only hit our cap for 10M and then it's cleared. If traded, the receiving team would owe him 5/75 and the last 3 years are team options with no buyout/dead-money. Not as ugly as people think. Indianapolis is more than 30M under the cap next year...

Don't shoot the messenger.

Traded after this season, that is true. Traded this season I think we take something like 23M in dead money this year.

1 - He is not going to be traded until after the season, if at all.
2 - He is not going to fetch what we as fans want because of age/production/contract. Right now we might be lucky to get a high 2 for him.
3 - We have to try and do something eventually, but we might be able to take one more year of his contract depending on the likes of Peterson and the extension he is due.
4 - This it at worst his last season here at best his second last. He is due an $8m roster bonus in 2015, we are not going to pay him that, he will be cut/traded before that point. (Assuming that he likely is not going to take a pay cut)

If and when Larry leaves this team I hope to anything we do not try and replace him. This team has learned the hard way that you cannot pay a receiver like a QB. They have learned the hard way that you cannot pay two big time receivers and be successful. They have learned the hard way that the two big time receivers you have are useless without a QB and an OL.

Learn from past mistakes, build the team the right way.

Going to be interesting if we finish with a wining record

Was an easy task when we were going to finish 3-13

Least this team isn't boring
