The scale is usually tipped on views regarding Carey but tonight he had 4 TD's and his 10th staight 100+ yards rushing game and leads the nation in YPG since the start of last season. Had some off-the-field issues last summer but apparently has cleaned up his act at least to this point. Do you find him overrated because of Rich Rod's system or is he a legit 2nd round pick?

I"ll say underrated. He's rarely talked about on here.

It's hard to call him 'underrated' with the early hype his name had attached to it. But yeah, he's a pretty good back and it does almost seem like the hype has turned on him for not being 'exceptional'. The reputation that preceded him almost seems a negative now, when people ask why he isn't head and shoulders above the competition.

Personally i like his upside a whole lot. But i can still see why there are some questionmarks there.

Quite like him, he has good vision and knows when to put the burners on - has a nice extra gear. I do worry about that lower half though, seems pretty narrow from the waist down.

Underrated. I view him in the high 2nd to late 2nd range. Solid size, good vision, good burst and good breakaway speed

Yeah, pretty underrated. My #3 draft eligible running back and a solid 2nd to early 3rd round grade.

He's a different type of player, but I get the same gut feeling watching him that I did with Eddie Lacy where I feel like he'll be very good in the NFL.

Watching Carey vs BC today. He's got a nice skill set that will translate to the pros. Every down back. One of the better pass protectors among RB prospects, too.

False dichotomy. He's neither underrated or overrated. He's rated about where he should be rated.

Some people have him in the 2nd round, some in the 4th....

Very underrated. He's as close to a sure thing as there is in this draft

Overrated. Why are people high on Carey, yet not on James White, who is similar but better?

Hopefully he goes to a team that throws the ball to it's RBs. Otherwise they are just wasting a lot of his talent like SF has wasted Frank Gore's in the Harbaugh regime. From an average of over 50 catches a year to 16 this year. Embarrassing display of ineptitude by Harbaugh. Imagine how that offense would look if they knew what they were doing.
