Alright we are beginning to roll into mock draft season and I thought it would be an awesome time to start this thread. This should be for quick draft only mocks and full detailed offseasons. The ones that Davey or green24 or myself have posted should get their own thread. Remember we get Tampa Bay's 3rd round pick and I think it's safe to assume that we get two 5th and two 6th round compensatory picks

Alright ill start us off

(ill assume we sign Jairus Byrd)

1. Lache Seastrunk RB Baylor

2. Gabe Jackson OG Mississippi State

3. Allen Robinson WR Penn State

3. Michael Sam OLB Missouri

4. Andre Hal CB Vanderbilt

5. Xavier Grimble TE USC

5. Dede Lattimore ILB USF

6. Michael Campanaro WR Wake

6. Stanley Jean-Baptiste CB Nebraska

7. David Fluellen RB Toledo

7. Josh Mauro DE Stanford

I'd be shocked if Sam fall to the 3rd, but it's too soon to tell. We've seen crazier things happen. Overrall I'll be very excited if this was to happen. I really like Robinson. Think he can become a breakout star in the right system.

I'm going to post mine later ... with pictures! Very Happy

* I didn't put details into the contracts because player's stock can change from now. I just want your thoughts on the idea of drafting & signing each player. I'm only doing 3 mocks this year.

Cuts/Let Walk
Mark Sanchez
Santonio Holmes
Alex Green
Clyde Gates
J.Jarrett
Calvin Pace
Kellen Winslow
Mike Goodson

Resign
Josh Cribbs – 1yr
David Nelson – 1yr
Willie Colon – 1yr
Vlad Ducasse -1yr

FA’s

Jairus Byrd – 3yr
Arrow SSsshhhh!!! Just let it happen.

Anthony McCoy TE – 2yr
Arrow Competition for Cumberland and the up coming rookie.

Tarvaris Jackson QB -1yr
Arrow Not the perfect vet fans want, but he has been under Idzik & Coach Lee. Simialr move to bringing in Quinn, but Jackson will be kept. We had interest in signing him before buffalo resigned him and cut him.

DRAFT

1.Jordan Matthews WR 6’3 210lbs, Vanderbilt
Arrow A complete WR. Tams have not been able to completely stop him. Now he is the all time leader in SEC history for receiving yards. His style reminds me a lot of Larry Fitzgerald.

2. Jackson Jeffcoat OLB 6’4 252lbs, Texas
Arrow I got a feeling that he is going to slip because of the stats/combine performances of Beasly & Sam.

3. De’Anthony Thomas RB/WR/KR 5’9 175lbs, Oregon
Arrow He becomes our Sproles. Someone who can take a 5yd dump pass and turn it into a 50yd play. Because of Powell & ivory, he won't be asked to carry the load.

3. Darqueze Dennard CB/NB 5’11 197lbs, Michigan State
Arrow Dennard will come in and compete for the nickel back position and eventually getting Wilson put on the trade block. Possibly become Cromartie's replacement in a couple years.

4. Arthur Lynch TE 6’5 255lbs, Georgia
Arrow Doesn't have the great numbers, but is a great blocker & athlete. I expect his name to rise after combine.

5. Mike Marry ILB, 6’3 256lbs, Ole Miss
Arrow Very athletic and could become Harris's future replacement.

5. Billy Turner OT 6’5 310, North Dakota State
Arrow Depth & someone's future replacement.

6. JR Collins OLB 6’2 250LBS, Virginia Tech
Arrow Coples back up.

6. Albert Wilson WR 5’9 195lbs , Georgia State University
Arrow A huge sleeper in this draft. Good returner & slot WR. I've watched him play for 2 years. He plays like he is 6'2 sometimes.

7. Ricky Havili-Heimuli DE/NT 6’4 305lbs, Oregon
Arrow Because I like his name and physical tools.

Trades
Kyle Wilson to the Chargers for 2015 pick
Arrow Wilson get beat in competition. Honestly, I can't remember the last big play Wilson has made for us. I can see the Chargers or Eagles trading a late pick for him. He's still young.

Awesome job, ricky. I do think Byrd will want more years than that though.

I only have enough time to do the 1st 3 rounds be here's a shot.

1st. Jordan Matthews 6'3" 205lbs. (Vandy) I think Watkins and Evans will be off the board and between him and Lee I think Matthews brings more to the table. We get a true #1 WR here for Geno to work with for hopefully a long time.

2nd. Jace Amaro 6'6" 260lbs. (Texas Tech) A great pass catching TE with great size as well. A huge mismatch for defenses, he needs to block better but has to tools to be great. Another weapon for Geno going foward.

3rd. Morgan Breslin 6'2" 250lbs. (Southern California) A perfect 3-4 OLB. He can flat out rush the passer and disrupt plays in the backfield. Has great value for a 3rd round pick.

3rd. DeAnthony Thomas 5'9" 175lbs. (Oregon) He slips to the 3rd based on his size and lack of a true position. His speed is off the charts and can make people miss. He can be used as a Percy Harvin Dexter McCluster type player and is yet another weapon for Geno. He will remind him of Tavon Austin, who was his go to guy at West Virginia.

FA:

FS - Byrd
We need a ball hawk and I think going after Byrd would be a wise decision given the state of our secondary

OLB - Brian Orakpo
It depends how the rest of this year goes for him and what he commands because we still have to resign our own guys to deals. This would be the year to front load a contract with $40+ mill in cap space. Wilk and Kerley should be our priority though.

Draft

1) WR - A&M/Clemson - Evans/Watkins
If they are on the board we take whoever the like more but we should hope we get one of these guys.

2) RB/KR - Oregon - De'Anthony Thomas
Goodson is nice but Thomas is lightning, a home run threat anytime he touches the ball. We also need a KR.

3a) G - Mississippi State - Gabe Jackson
We are going to need to replace Colon on the line.

3b) TE - USC - Xavier Grimble
We need someone opposite Cumberland for the future.

Rest of draft - BPA

Realistically we will only be able to sign Byrd or Orakpo and honestly I'm taking Byrd in the secondary. I think we can find a decent OLB for cheaper. As you can see I went heavy offense in the draft since we need weapons to surround Geno. I think Thomas will go earlier than the 3rd round and there won't be a TE worth taking in the 2nd round.

Gabe Jackson is likely a first round pick, maybe second round pick. Can't see him falling to the third.

I don't think we'll cut Landry unless a stud beats him out in camp. He's not great, but he isn't bad either. His situation almost remind me of Eric Reid's last season at LSU. The poor play from the other 3 DB's put him in tougher situations and make him look bad. Pair him up with someone like Byrd so Landry know that the other side is taken care of.

I'd rather have Allen paired with Byrd.
