I just told the guys its not Jets football the way that were playing, Wilkerson said. We have to step up. Unfortunately we didnt get the job done and play Jets football.

Pay this man in the offseason!

But he was exactly right. The defense didn't show up today, and that meant big trouble for Geno. There was nothing he could have done to have led us to a win yesterday.

Crazy because we all thought we were going to have to watch out for Green, but Marvin Jones had a breakthrough game yesterday.

After watching Dolphins vs Bengals it's clear the Bengals aren't THAT good as we made them look last week. It was more of the Jets being completely unprepared and beaten in every aspect of football.

The Bengals didn't look that bad, Dalton did though. Granted, his WRs had a few drops, but most of his passes were off the mark yesterday. That's how the NFL is some weeks, one week a team looks amazing and then the next they completely bomb. We have done the same thing this season too.

People complain about us never performing well the week after a big win. The Bengals just did the same thing.

It's really not that hard to fathom that we played a team that played the best football they're going to play all year with the Bengals. Andy Dalton may play in the league for another 15 years and never throw 5 TDs in a game ever again. You can keep analyzing and analyzing one team's performance but the fact is a football game is the result of two team's performances and Cincinnati played excellent football.

In the NFL you can't use transitive property. The Jets may very well beat the Dolphins even though they beat the Bengals who crapped on us.

I think most of us knew deep down this game would be a loss. Not only is Cincinnati just a better team, but we had just come off a crazy overtime win against our rival. Frankly, I would have been shocked if we won.

We're in the tough stretch of our season right now. Being 4-4 is actually not a bad spot to be. We don't have the Jags or Eagles rolling through anytime soon, but there are some winnable games down the stretch. We're probably an 8-8 team.

What this year has done is lay the groundwork for future success. Rex should keep his job, and Geno is the QB of the immediate future. Having a semblance of stability at those two spots going into next year will pay dividends.

Hm? We're at the end of our tough stretch. The Saints and then the bye week. No team after it is above .500 outside of the Panthers.

That's pretty much what I said. We're in the tough part now. After now it gets easier, but it's not like we'll win every "easier" game.

Also their best player (or at least their best defensive player) is out for the year

I liked him too.

I had George Iloka in all of mine.
