You can file this in the "Duh" or "No ____ Sherlock."

But I thought I'd share a "For What It's Worth"

I work with a someone who's boyfriend/husband type works with the Jaguars in the scouting/player development area of the team.
As it stands... Bridgewater is the player they covet. Not Clowney or another QB, but Bridgewater. They have him as the unquestioned #1 overall prospect at the time.

Again take that for what it's worth. I'm not a poster that "trolls" in other fourms or post junk just for entertainment and to rile ya'll up. It's a good/legit/trusted source. I woud love if someone had real info for my team, so I thought I'd share what I knew for your team.

Adios....

Thanks for that. It's been widely assumed that based on how Teddy has played, how poorly Gabbert and Henne have been, how poor the team has been and how the team sent several high end scouts to check Teddy out, that he was the consensus #1 for the team. Some insider info to back that up is always a positive when he's so highly coveted by the fan base.

Even if we have to take this as "well, maybe it's some fluff there," it's still nice to see that someone believes he's the unquestioned #1 overall.

It's just a matter of if we can secure that #1 overall pick to get him.

Yeah, I sure hope you're right. As a fan, it's obvious to see as a fan that Bridgewater should be the guy, but you never really know what the people that actually make the decisions are thinking on a player. Would be great if Caldwell thought Bridgewater was the #1 overall pick in the draft.

People close to the team also seem to get the impression that Teddy is who they like. Ryan O, though he's just a beat writer, has dropped some not-so-subtle hints.

Only person to really say anything differently is Prisco today. He thinks Mariota goes first. However, it wouldn't be outlandish to think he's saying that under the assumption that the Bucs have the #1 pick. After all, it almost always seems like he is just a little bit more optimistic on the Jags than most media people and fans Laughing

Ryan O seems to like Mariota quite a bit too. Tweeted about the Cowboys game next year in London, saying they would be facing the Jaguars and Marcus Mariota...

I'm worried about the Buccs, they might ruin our chances at Teddy

I deeply wish we could challenge them to a Dumpster Fight.

We could lose that game. I'm confident.

Must be scary being a Jags fan right now with Tampa playing the way the are. As a draft fan I am scared, I wanna see Bridgewater play for up and coming team like the Jags not a incumbent team like Tampa.

I swear if we do all this tanking and we don't even get Teddy because of Tampa I'm gonna rage.

The Bucs should hire Greg Roman and draft Mariota. That might be a match made in heaven right there.

If Sumlin doesn't [which he should] go to Carolina with Cam, Sumlin + Mariota may be better. But yes, that would be terrible news for us, lol.

I don't want to sound harsh or trolling, but what exactly is up and coming about the Jags....? You have nice WRs, a nice safety and a LT. I also like your coaches.

However that's it.
