This might actually be a more intriguing game now. Ponder has played well vs the Packers, especially at home. But he could be a bit rusty.

I hope Ponder plays lights out and we never look back.

Doesn't surprise me. At the end of that game Josh Freeman was on the ground practically after every play. I kept thinking that Leslie Frazier was going to get him hurt by letting him get hit so much. Looks like he did.

After the game, Frazier basically said they wouldn't have done anything differently in regards to the game plan. Having a new qb throw the ball fifty times in a game that was close, while Peterson gets 13 carries makes no sense. Shows you how clueless Frazier has become

Just WTF is going on in Minnesota?

3 different QBs in 4 weeks. AP getting 13 touches last week.

Is Frazier about done here? Surely he's not getting another year is he?

To be fair, Cassel only played as a result of an injury to Ponder. As soon as Ponder was healthy, Cassel went to being inactive.

Outside of week 17 last year he's been pretty brutal against the Packers.

He did fine in his 1st start. Stats don't do that game justice, he made a lot of plays as well as mistakes, and the game was close.

Adrian was also running for 200 ypg. That won't happen Sunday.

I think Ponder's confidence is shot at this point. He knows that the Vikings don't want him, and he really can't play anyway. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he has a game equally as bad, or worse, than Freeman's game on Monday night.

Yep his first ever game he played extremely well. Showed great mobility and accuracy on the run and some arm strength. And last season he very good dare i say in season finale. It will definitely be a better and more competitive game with him in the lineup.

I'm probably drinking the "purple kool-aid". But I'm hoping just a little bit that the time on the bench was the jolt that he needed. I don't think the Vikings don't want him. It's that he just hasn't proven himself in the organizations eyes.

Ponder should be the starter, and he should have come on to replace Freeman Monday, Freeman nowhere near ready anyway.

Be interesting to see where Ponder is mentally after watching Freemans performance, knowing he is second choice to that.

Hopefully he takes his chance, and gets the play action game working again.

If the rest of the team keeps playing as poorly as they have for the last two games, it won't matter who the quarterback is. This team is a total train wreck, and I sure don't think Ponder has what it takes to get things going again.

Sad to say, but I'm really hoping we lose every game for the rest of the season. Let's just get ourselves a good draft pick and FINALLY get a good quarterback to lead this team.
