Browns coach Rob Chudzinski announced Wednesday morning that Jason Campbell will start at quarterback Sunday against the 7-0 Kansas City Chiefs.

The Weeden era is officially over. Knowing the Browns, though, he'll be back as soon as Campbell gets hurt.

Campbell looked awful last year but he can't be any worse than Weeden.

Smart move. Weeden looked terrible against the Packers...

Should see some Orlovsky vs Manziel this week in the battle of "who's less aware of their surroundings"

Orlovsky has too much experience here. Manziel doesn't stand a chance.

Will Weeden be in the NFL next year? He can't start, would be a bad number 2 QB, doesn't have any wisdom or leadership to offer young players, and is too old to be worth developing.

One of the worst draft picks in NFL history.

Not surprising given how Weeden has looked. I don't know if Campbell will be better but he can't be much worse.

Really is a shame about Hoyer.

Yeah, when the rumors were spreading about him being picked in the first round, I thought it was a joke. Then it actually did happen, and I felt bad for the Browns fans.

Yep

He was for sure a bust, but he is no where near the list of worst picks of all time.

No where near

KC sure seems to be facing a lot of backup and third string QB's.

Not that I believe it would change the result that drastically Laughing

Campbell will be the 20th QB to start for Cleveland since '99. Ouch.

Maybe not worst, but it had to be one of the dumbest picks from the beginning. Quinn at least made sense. Nothing about taking a 29 year old rookie there when no one between that pick and the next one was looking at a QB made any sense.

That whole draft was largely mismanaged. Moving up for T-Rich made sense because they thought that TB was going to move up for him, but they were tricked by Minnesota into believing that and then the fact that T-Rich wasn't that good further makes that move look bad.

I was always a big Jason Campbell supporter. Gordon is going to have a good amount of jump balls coming his way.

and btw, Weeden was horrible. I was shocked when he went in the 1st round.

My guess is his career is basically over.
