If there was ever a time to play the Vikings I`d say this is it. Sure, you can argue this is a trap game for us but it certainly a game we should win.

Vikings..
1. QB situation...Freeman certainly showed he hasn't mastered the playbook yet.

2.Peterson..Hasn`t looked himself thus far and key to winning may be just to keep him from running wild.

3.Defense...there are holes...I see multiple ways of exploiting them with both the run and the pass.

4.Morale... I get the sense that morale is running pretty low up there. On the one hand you`ve got a qb controversy, issues on both sides of the ball, and a coach who appears to be fighting for his coaching life.

They are horrid. Have to imagine Rodgers and the receivers (whoever it is) will come to play after all the crap Jennings slung this way earlier. Shields will handle Jennings no problem. I see getting out to a healthy lead and coasting it in. 24 - 3 final or something like that.

As devil's advocate I'd say Minny is also catching us at the right time. As devil's advocate mind you.

I would tend to agree that we are catching Minnesota at a good time as they are a team lost and confused as to what they are trying to do on offense.

BUT the NFL is a league that on any given Sunday...especially on the road against a division opponent... things can happen that you would not expect. MN still has AP, still has Jared Allen going against a rookie LT. Coaching staff and players need to prepare and expect a dogfight type game. Looking past MN is a recipe for bad things.

If the Vikings have any real intentions on winning next week, they'll start Ponder or Cassell. Freeman showed yesterday that he clearly isn't ready yet which was to be expected.

If the coaches hadn't already lost that locker room, you have to think they certainly did after the Freeman debacle. Inexcusable decision by that coaching staff on every level.

The horrid part of that is you've already sent the message to Ponder and Cassell that the coaching staff thinks the team has a better chance to win with a QB off the street with one week of practice rather than one of them. Crazy stupid move by Frazier. I wouldnt want to be on that team.

If I'm trying to keep my job having the "Don't look at me, nobody could win with these terrible QBs you've given me to work with. I've played all three and they all SUCKED!" card in my back pocket is something I wouldn't mind having.

Cant wait to hear the Greg Jennings interview with the Packers beat writers. After the whole Minny beat writers are better and Rodgers narrative. Hopefully Wilde and Co hit him hard with some questions. Should be interesting.

i dont know why, i just dont have a good feeling about our passing game going into this game. ill feel better if jones plays, but if not, consider me a little worried.

...have you seen that secondary they have? It looked "good" last night because the Giants are equally inept.
