Rumor mill on twitter says the Jets are trying to make the deal

Not gonna get excited because it's just Twitter, but would be pretty pumped if it came to fruition (also depending on what they gave up)

it sounds like the Browns are wanting to get a player in return.

the only positions I could see the Browns wanting is a QB or an ILB along with a pick

Colt McCoy and a 3rd for Gordon?

If the 49ers are the ones who offered a pick and player, I'm thinking it's LaMichael James.

Agreed. I could see them offering a 3rd+James.

I sort of want the Packers to trade for him, but then he would just break his leg a week later.

I would be livid if that got it done.

It would have to be at LEAST a 2nd.

We've acquired a Browns receiver at the deadline before. Cool

weren't the browns fine with a 2nd? if the trade hasn't happened yet then i feel the browns aren't happy with the offers.

I hear we're offering 2 picks(I'm assuming a 3 and a 5) likely conditional

Jeez. I guess we'll just sub in David Nelson and Nick Bellore for Chansi Stuckey and Jason Trusnik.

What would be the point of this trade? Runningbacks like James are a dime a dozen and can be acquired via late round picks. A #1 WR is worth a lot more than a 3rd round pick and a scat back.

The Browns just used a 2nd round pick on him and if anything his value has gone up.

see here's the thing

a players value is only as high as what a team is willing to offer

the new regime didn't select him so if they wanna get a 3 and a 5 or a couple 3's for him whatever it may be they'll get it

no point in shopping him if you have a set price, that just means you want picks and most teams wont give into that

The 3rd rounder is the main draw of the deal, James is just the add on and the Browns have a need there. I could definitely be wrong but i don't see Baalke offering a 2nd round pick for Gordon, even if not offering a 2nd means he doesn't get Gordon.

No, it means that you don't want it to be a 1st or 2nd rounder. But he's worth a lot more than what you're stating. Why would they just dump their most productive young offensive player for pennies on the dollar?

Because he's one screw up away from being suspended for a year? Really though, if our front office has faith in Malcolm Smith, I hope Seattle offers up KJ Wright in a package deal. Wright would be best served in the middle and I believe I saw someone say that was an area of need for your LB group.
