Why would the browns even consider that trade?
I'm assuming they want draft picks. So they can get young talented guys.
Not an over the hill wr. An avg cb who was overpaid and a late pick?

I think they're going to end up keeping him.
But I think they want a first and aren't going to budge.

Yeh, the Eagles have trolled teams in trades in the past, but even that's not going to work.

In the end, Cleveland are in the stronger position here. They don't need to trade Gordon, so they only will if they get a good enough deal.

Also I doubt with some certainty that, baring a robbery, Joe Banner is not trading his #1 WR to Philadelphia.

I think Detroit would be an unreal fit for Gordon. Anybody know if they are one of the teams interested?

Yeh, Banner hates Roseman's guts.

We should be interested but our FO keeps everything under wraps. Burleson should be back soon and Kris Durham and Joseph Fauria are improving every day so we don't need Gordon. Our FO is probably confident that they'll be around next year as well so they probably aren't in a panic to add players for this year while sacrificing for the future.

The Lions also have a bad reputation around the league so adding Gordon wouldn't help that. If Gordon didnt have that potential 16 game suspension looming over him it wouldn't surprise me if we went all out for him, but the potential for that suspension is there so the risk in giving up a pick for him is HUGE.

Shhhh dont give Detroit any ideas. Johnson, Gordon, Broyles, Pettigrew and Bush would be insane, probably the best group of skill players in the NFC North.

I think that's kind of a law of diminishing returns thing they'd have going against them, though. The Lions have plenty of other needs where having excess at WR shouldn't be a priority, especially if it involves giving up a 1st.

So I'd actually be rooting for Detroit to trade for him Wink

I dont agree, the Lions do have a need at WR opposite of Johnson. Broyles looks like a slot receiver, but what do they have on the outside opposite of Johnson? If Johnson is constantly drawing the attention of the defense, Bush and Gordon would be the one's to benefit the most. I have a feeling that Pettigrew would be the one to see a decline in production.

Shocked

I think that trade worked out well for both sides Wink

WR is one of our biggest needs though...

And if it costs a first, we likely wouldn't do it. Durham and Fauria have filled in nicely and Burleson will be back soon. We aren't desperate for a WR right now.

Seahawks better be in on Gordon. This is likely Sidney's last year as a Hawk and a young talent like Gordon on a team friendly deal going forward would be huge for this team

Gordon
Tate
Harvin

That would be a filthy well rounded and high talent group for RW to work with.

Well Pettigrew is likely gone after the season and Broyles has shown nothing but flashes at this point. Besides cornerback I think WR is the biggest need on the roster right now.

Unless they feel like Gordon is an idiot who'll just get himself suspended again, I think CLE is foolhardy if they're legitimately shopping this guy. This is not like Trent Richardson wherein you have a guy who's a mediocre talent you want to wash your hands of, this is a legitimate young talent at a fairly important position (WR).

Especially if CLE thinks they're just a QB away from competing. Why gimp your next QB?
