http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/football-insider/wp/2013/10/21/redskins-said-to-be-open-to-idea-of-trading-fred-davis/

Redskins are currently trying to move Fred Diva. He wasn't active for the game this week against the Bears. Here's what Shanahan said about him today:

“Fred’s been down because he’s been hurt in the past and now it’s based on who practices the best, just like we talked about Jordan getting the opportunity to play a lot more because of what he’s done during the week,” Shanahan said. “Sometimes when a guy gets hurt, then a guy gets an opportunity to play, he takes advantage of it. Or another scenario is we dress three tight ends out this week. One of the reasons we did is we felt we had to bring a guy like [safety Trenton] Robinson up so he can help us on special teams…. You’re always going to try to do what’s best for your football team that week. And that’s what we try to do.”

The article says Redskins are looking to trade him but they have no reports if anyone's interested or what compensation they are looking to get. They did bring up that the Jets and Bills gave him work outs this offseason when he was a free agent.

The Washington Redskins have no use for tight end Fred Davis on the heels of rookie Jordan Reed's Jimmy Graham impersonation in Sunday's victory over the Bears.

Very Happy Very Happy

I have no idea why they are not calling the Patriots.

Cuz Gronk is back and played pretty well despite him still being injured.

The Browns, they almost signed him this offseason also. Just an educated guess

I can't see them trading for him. They are stockpiling picks not trading them away. Any of the AFCE teams make sense to me.

I dont know why huge dolphins would, they have 3 productive young TEs:

http://www.miamidolphins.com/team/roster/Charles-Clay/6bcc37fe-5b33-44b7-8f9a-9c279d08d040

Charles Clay: 24 recs, 304 YDs, 3 Tds

Dion Simms: 4th round rookie, great blocking TE

Michael Egnew: hasn't broke out, but in his 2nd year. He's a good athlete and receiving TE

There's no way, they trade for him.

I think mike23 is on to something with the Pats

Every team seems to have two TEa now a days, I was thinking it'd help Weeden to add another one

Browns traded away Richardson and now have Josh Gordon on the trade block. They are acquiring picks not trading them away.

I said it back before the season: if we could get a sixth for him, take it.

Now, we'll be lucky to get anything. Oh well.

Kansas City?

Possibly. But his attitude irritates me so much I'd hate to send him to a contender. Raiders. That'll teach him.

They should've traded him before benching him. His value rite now is probably at best a 5th round pick when we could've maybe got a 2nd round pick. You don't air out someone's dirty laundry and then expect everyone to hop on to get this guy.

A contender would be more likely to part with a higher pick in order to win now.

Doubtful we could have gotten him for a second. Remember, he re-signed with us because no one was interested in giving him a new contract.
