We just signed him off waivers from SF yesterday. What can you guys tell me about him? He isn't all world by any stretch but desperate times call for desperate measures. Again we have guys dropping like flies - even more dire than 2010. Sad

Big physical receiver who historically has good hands but had huge drop problems in the pre season. Hes not ready to be on an NFL field, hes a project SF was using him in the Delanie Walker role not as a WR.

He was bulking up to try and play Fullback for the Hawks in the preseason, so i guess that means Pete and John never saw him as a legit WR in the NFL...

That was Phil Bates. SF wanted to use him at TE in the Delanie Walker spot but he didnt excel there.

He was pure WR when he was here.
