I'm kind of surprised it wasn't Stokley again since it sounds like he's not playing tomorrow anyways.

Bajema was awful in the last game though, dropped one ball, perhaps two. Whiffed on blocks. So it makes sense.

Well, yeah, it's Billy Bajema. That's pretty much the standard. Maybe the coaches are thinking they're better off just going with a lineman as their blocking tight end. With as little as Bajema brings to the passing game that line of thinking would probably be right too.

I also seem to recall Ricky Wagner having played TE at some point early in his Wisconsin career (though I'm not certain). So I have to imagine his hands couldn't be much worse than Bajema's... he's a better blocker and could potentially catch the defense completely off guard if he released on a route.

That and we've got Juszczyk still trying to break into the offense- he could steal some of Bajema's limited pass catching opportunities.

I've been getting my hopes up for that. One day man, one day.

Honestly, I think he's close.

The team seems to have given up on Ed Dickson. Despite having a solid game two weeks ago, he was presumed dead (figuratively speaking) against Green Bay, while Bajema got the start at #2 TE. So Dickson obviously must not be practicing well... along with his play in games.

And with Bajema down that means they'll either have to go back to trusting Dickson with those opportunities or they'll give Juszczyk those shots.

Another interesting thing to note. I remember seeing us lineup in a Wing T (I know it wasn't Wing T, but I forget the name of the formation) like rushing package with Clark and Leach in the background as fullbacks.

That play could very easily be something that we could incorporate Juszczyk into. And its a running formation, which would make for a perfect playaction, screen pass opportunity where Rice and Leach go crashing into the right side of the line and leave plenty of green grass for an athlete like Juszczyk to work with.

So, I don't know, it's just a feeling... but I FEEL like either this upcoming game with the Steelers or the game following the bye will see an uptick in his usage. Coincidentally that was also about the same time where we started to see Pitta get into a groove with Flacco in 2011- some time in the second half of the season... and Juszczyk has been nickname Baby Pitta by some in the Ravens facility, so it could make sense.

It's funny that we waited until Ed Dickson had his best game of the year to give up on him.

"Well Ed dropped 3 passes today, missed multiple blocks and just overall sucked. Yeah let's give him another chance."

"Well Ed made a great catch today and showed a good burst of speed in the open field. I think it's just time to give up on the guy..."

smh, makes no sense. Not that I'm a huge Ed Dickson fan, but I mean I just don't understand the timing of it.
